In response to the 2026 Children's Action Month and to promote drowning prevention during the summer, many youth organizations and groups in the province have proactively applied artificial intelligence (AI) to create media products for children. To date, more than 50 videos promoting drowning prevention have been produced and shared on digital platforms.
At Son Le Kindergarten (Son Tien commune), the school's youth union has created a short, engaging, and relatable video to raise awareness among parents and children about drowning prevention skills. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuan, Secretary of the Youth Union at Son Le Kindergarten, said: “Kindergarten children cannot absorb lengthy or theoretical information. Therefore, we chose a short video format with visual aids for parents to watch with their children, helping them remember skills to avoid dangers in life.”

The application of artificial intelligence in the development of promotional materials, as seen at Son Le Kindergarten, demonstrates that many institutions are innovating their communication methods to better suit the information access habits of parents and children.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai Dang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, shared: “Digital transformation is having an increasingly profound impact on the lives of children. Besides opportunities to access knowledge, they may also face many risks in cyberspace. Therefore, the Youth Union and Children's Union organizations have decided to continue strengthening activities to promote and educate children on digital skills, skills in identifying harmful information, preventing online fraud, and civilized behavior in the online environment, helping children participate in the digital space safely and responsibly.”
In addition to focusing on equipping children with skills and creating a healthy environment for play and training, localities, organizations, and associations in the province also pay special attention to orphaned children and those in difficult circumstances.

In Tung Loc commune, in response to the 2026 Action Month for Children, on May 14th, the Fatherland Front Committee and the Women's Union of the commune organized a sponsorship program for Nguyen Dinh Trung, a 4th grade student at Phuc Loc Primary School. Trung is one of the children with particularly difficult circumstances in the area, having lost his father early, his mother suffering from epilepsy, and his older brother in 10th grade.
Faced with his family's difficulties, the Fatherland Front Committee and the Women's Union of the commune have provided him with support for three years, totaling 10.8 million VND. Trung expressed: "Thanks to the care and help from the kind people, I feel very happy and more motivated to study hard. I will strive to do my best so that I can help those in difficult circumstances like myself in the future."
According to information from the Ha Tinh Provincial Women's Union, from 2021 to the present, the various levels of the Union have sponsored 1,948 orphaned children and children in difficult circumstances with a total support fund of over 33 billion VND. In the first six months of 2026 alone, the province sponsored 660 children with a committed support amount of nearly 4 billion VND. This result demonstrates the strong spread of the "Godmother" program as well as the joint efforts of organizations and individuals in caring for vulnerable children.
In addition to the "Godmother" program, many social resources are being mobilized to support disadvantaged children in the province.

From 2020 to May 2026, the Center for Social Work and Vocational Education for People with Disabilities in Ha Tinh province mobilized over 60 billion VND, supporting more than 44,000 disadvantaged children throughout the province. The funds were used to implement various activities such as: screening and surgical support for children with congenital heart disease, motor disabilities, and craniofacial deformities; awarding scholarships, bicycles, and gifts; building libraries, classroom bookshelves, and other facilities for children's learning and recreation… These results not only contribute to improving the learning conditions, healthcare, and living standards of children but also create a foundation for more comprehensive implementation of child welfare work in the province.

According to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee, this year's Action Month for Children will be implemented from June 1st to June 30th. Besides caring for children in special circumstances, the activities will also focus on raising awareness about protecting children in the online environment, equipping children with digital skills and self-protection skills in the context of increasingly rapid digital transformation.
Many child healthcare programs continue to be implemented during this year's Children's Action Month, such as: prenatal screening, newborn screening, routine health check-ups, surgical support for children with congenital heart disease, rehabilitation for children with disabilities, and treatment support for children with serious illnesses... Local authorities also focus on investing in, repairing, and upgrading playgrounds and community activity areas for children, strengthening warning signs in areas with a high risk of accidents, organizing cultural and sports activities, practical experiences, and swimming lessons to create a healthy development environment for children during the summer.

Mr. Mai Le Thuoc, Deputy Director of the Ha Tinh Department of Health, emphasized: “The protection, care, and education of children is the responsibility of the entire political system and society. Through the 2026 Action Month for Children, we hope to continue raising awareness and responsibility among all levels, sectors, and the community, mobilizing more resources so that all children are cared for, protected, and have the opportunity for comprehensive development.”
