Now it's the bondholders' turn to demand their money back.

As Thanh Nien newspaper previously reported, Tu Tam S-Merciful Medical Joint Stock Company unexpectedly announced the closure of Tu Tam S-Merciful Nursing Home at 22 Morrison, An Hai Bac Ward, Son Tra District ( Da Nang City) from May 22nd, causing customer outrage and demands for refunds.

The Son Tra District Police have determined that Tu Tam S-Merciful Medical Joint Stock Company, headquartered in Phu Nghia village, Tran Phu commune, Chuong My district ( Hanoi ), is represented by Ms. Dinh Thi Ngoc Minh (34 years old, residing in Khuong Dinh, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi) as the General Director and provides "nursing home and healthcare services for the elderly".

In April 2022, the company opened a branch in Da Nang at 150 Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Phuoc My Ward (Son Tra District) and was granted a branch registration certificate by the Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment on April 25, 2022.

Tu Tam S-Merciful Medical Joint Stock Company rents premises for operation.

In January 2023, this company leased the property at 22 Morrison from Lincoln GN Partners Limited and moved the nursing home there along with 10 staff members, but failed to provide the relevant legal documents.

This house, registered under the name of Ms. L. (20 years old, residing at 5 Hoi Vu Alley, Hang Bong Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi), was entrusted to her mother, Ms. Ch. (55 years old), to lease to Lincoln GN Partners Co., Ltd.

After the landlord and Lincoln GN Partners terminated the contract (due to the tenant's inability to secure financing), Mr. Tran Hong Linh (35 years old, residing on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Xuan Ha Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City, manager of the aforementioned nursing home) directly rented the house from Ms. Ch.

By May 15th, due to Lincoln GN Partners' failure to secure funding, Ms. Ch. requested to reclaim the house starting May 22nd, consequently, Tu Tam S-Merciful Nursing Home announced its closure.

Income: 8 - 20 million VND/person/month

According to the Son Tra District Police, in Da Nang City, Tu Tam S-Merciful Medical Joint Stock Company signed contracts with 15 clients with various forms, durations, and levels of care ranging from 8 to 20 million VND per person per month, and is currently providing care to 11 people.

The company's sudden announcement of ceasing operations constitutes a breach of contract, as the agreement required 30 days' notice.

The Son Tra District Police are continuing to work with the relevant parties.

The company offered to transfer the elderly to a facility in Hanoi, preserve their service package, and provide extra care time… but the customer in Da Nang wants a refund.

The Son Tra District Police have compiled a total of over 761 million VND owed to customers upon contract termination (as of May 23rd). In addition, 30 employees, including doctors, nurses, and managers, are demanding that Tu Tam S-Merciful Medical Joint Stock Company pay their outstanding salaries (totaling 700 million VND) for 1-5 months. The company offered a one-month payment deadline, but the families refused. Notably, on May 24th, several individuals who had purchased bonds from the company or invested in its business also came to demand their money back.

This afternoon, May 24th, the People's Committee of Son Tra District established an inter-agency inspection team to work with the Tu Tam S-Merciful Nursing Home located at 22 Morrison Street, An Hai Bac Ward.
