Silk weaving in Bao Loc City

Bao Loc City, Lam Dong Province, is known as the "silk capital" of Vietnam, where the traditional mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing, silk reeling, and silk weaving industries thrive. Bao Loc has affirmed its position in the Vietnamese silk industry, with many high-quality silk products exported to countries around the world.

The technology for producing and processing silk and silk textile products in Bao Loc city has been systematically invested in with many modern, high-capacity equipment, machinery, and production lines. The locality has also supported people in switching from old varieties to new, high-yield varieties.

The synchronized application of technological advancements, from planting and intensive cultivation of mulberry varieties to high-quality silkworm rearing techniques, has reduced production costs, increased productivity, and improved the quality of cocoons used in silk production.

Behind silk garments lies a long process involving dozens of meticulous and absolutely precise steps, one after another, from the fields to the factory.

We invite readers and photographers from Vietnam and abroad to continue submitting their photos and videos to participate in the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award. The award is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Television . Through this, we aim to further introduce and promote the image of Vietnam, its people, cultural values, and natural beauty throughout the country; to awaken national pride and self-respect, and to inspire a desire for development among all segments of the Vietnamese population, working together to build a more prosperous, thriving, and happy Vietnam.

Submission deadline: From May 22, 2025 to September 30, 2025. Entries can be submitted online at : https://happy.vietnam.vn  

Eligible participants: Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and above.

The awards consist of two categories: photos and videos .

Each competition category (photos and videos ) will have one First Prize worth VND 50,000,000, two Second Prizes worth VND 30,000,000, three Third Prizes worth VND 15,000,000, ten Consolation Prizes worth VND 5,000,000, and one Most Voted Award worth VND 5,000,000.

The organizers encourage and will award a creative prize of VND 20,000,000 in each category (photos and videos) to works with new and creative ideas in terms of content and presentation.

In addition, the organizing committee will award monthly prizes, including first, second, and third prizes, to the works with the highest number of votes in each category each month.

The judging panel selected the winners through two rounds of preliminary and final judging, conducted both online and in person.
