In fulfilling its state management functions in the area, Thai Nguyen Customs (Customs Sub-department of Region V) has made many efforts in administrative procedure reform, customs modernization, and digital transformation to contribute to improving the investment and business environment and promoting import and export growth.
According to Nguyen Dang Chinh, Head of Thai Nguyen Customs, to facilitate the business community, the unit always focuses on disseminating legal information, especially new policies and regulations in the customs and import-export fields, such as: newly issued regulations on customs procedures, commodity policies, import-export tax policies, import-export commodity lists, HS codes, and solutions for preventing smuggling and trade fraud...
The unit also proactively researches newly arising issues and relevant new documents to share and guide the business community in the area, enabling businesses to quickly access, understand, and comply with legal regulations.
“In particular, to promptly grasp the production and business plans, difficulties, and obstacles of enterprises in order to provide support and solutions, at the beginning of 2026, Thai Nguyen Customs advised the leaders of the Customs Sub-department of Region V to directly work with a number of FDI enterprises in the area such as RQ Technology Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Yen Binh Industrial Park) and Dowooinsys Vina Co., Ltd. (Song Cong II Industrial Park),” Mr. Nguyen Dang Chinh added.
From the beginning of 2026 to the present, approximately 600 businesses have registered to carry out customs procedures at Thai Nguyen Customs. The unit has processed 127,671 import and export declarations, an increase of 16% compared to the same period in 2025; the total import and export turnover reached 21.66 billion USD, an increase of 21%.
The main export items include mobile phones, tablets, smart wearable devices, plastic flooring, helmets, garments, hand tools, medical instruments, various types of livestock equipment, industrial products from various minerals, etc.
The main imported items include machinery and equipment for creating fixed assets; electronic components for manufacturing mobile phones and high-tech products; raw materials for processing and manufacturing garments for export; plastic floor tiles, helmets, medical instruments, various hand tools, and other raw materials and supplies for production…
Regarding budget revenue results, the unit's revenue reached 1,144 billion VND, equivalent to 39.44% of the annual target and an increase of 33.95% compared to the same period in 2025.
