A highlight of the emulation campaign is the organization of the 2026 competition for training aids and lesson plans. Lieutenant Colonel Le The Lam, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Military Command of Zone 2 - Phu Loi, said: “We determined that the competition is not only for scoring and ranking, but more importantly, it creates a forum for officers and soldiers of the unit and the Military Commands of the 28 communes and wards in the area to exchange experiences, develop initiatives, and improve training aids to suit the characteristics of training and combat in urban areas, industrial zones, and plains... The lesson plans are all meticulously prepared, updated with new content, ensuring scientific accuracy, systematic approach, feasibility, and effective application in training practice.”

Despite it being the first day of the new spring, on the training ground preparing for the mobilization ceremony, the male and female permanent militia members were still diligently practicing their drills under the sweltering southern sun. Comrade Phan Thi Tuyet Nhi, a permanent militia member from Thuong Tan commune, shared: “The hot weather, sometimes unpredictable, makes training very difficult. Even so, we encourage each other to strive for excellence in training, maintain strict discipline, and ensure that the drill movements are uniform, beautiful, and demonstrate the capabilities of the city's female militia.”

In addition to competing in training and competitions, the Party Committee and Command of the Phu Loi 2 Regional Defense Force have clearly defined their political responsibility in participating in the organization of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. This year, the unit has been designated as a polling station by the Phu Loi Ward Election Committee. Therefore, preparations have been carried out early, systematically, and in accordance with the election law and guiding documents from the Central Government and the city.

Party committees and commanders at all levels have thoroughly disseminated directives and plans regarding the election; intensified propaganda and education to ensure that officers and soldiers fully understand this extensive political activity of the entire Party, people, and army; and recognize it as a sacred right and duty of every citizen. Simultaneously, the unit proactively coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to meticulously prepare the necessary facilities at polling stations; developed plans to ensure security and order; and assigned officers to participate in polling stations according to their responsibilities and duties, ensuring that election day truly becomes a celebration for all citizens and officers and soldiers of the armed forces.

Lieutenant Colonel Vuong Trung Tien, Commander of the Thoi Hoa Ward Military Command, said: “In response to the peak emulation campaign, we focused on meticulously preparing lesson plans and teaching aids; organizing officer training, unifying the content and methods of training according to the motto “basic, practical, and solid,” closely aligned with the characteristics of the area. The Ward Military Command strictly maintains combat readiness, closely combining training with disciplinary training and building a regular army...; at the same time, proactively advising the Ward Party Committee and People's Committee to fully implement the consultation process, compile voter lists, and prepare personnel for candidacy for People's Council representatives at all levels in accordance with regulations, ensuring the successful completion of assigned tasks.”
