
The event was co-organized by the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology - VKU (University of Da Nang) in collaboration with the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT), the ASEAN Colleges for Innovation and Research (ACIR), and the Vietnam Federation of Information and Communication Technology Schools and Institutes (FISU Vietnam), with the participation of many scientists from more than 30 countries around the world .
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of VKU, Head of the Organizing Committee, Founder and Chair of the CITA conference, and Co-founder and Chair of ACIR, expressed that, after 14 years of continuous development, CITA has become a prestigious international academic forum, connecting research communities in the fields of information technology, communication, and digital economy ; serving as a bridge to disseminate knowledge, promote innovation, and contribute to the digital transformation process of the nation and the Southeast Asian region.
Initiated in 2012, CITA is a series of scientific conferences on information technology and its applications in various fields, organized annually by VKU. This year's conference shows a significant leap forward in scale and quality, reaching the level of an international conference.
The organizing committee received 165 scientific papers from over 450 authors from more than 30 countries and territories worldwide. Of these, 73 papers were selected for publication in Lecture Notes of Networking and Systems (acceptance rate was 44%). Four reports were selected for publication in the dedicated issue of the Journal of Research, Development and Application of Information and Communication Technology (ISSN 1859-3526), Information and Communication Journal (Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam).
The conference included 12 sessions covering various topics such as: data science and artificial intelligence; image processing and natural language; software technology and information systems; digital economy…
At the closing session of the CITA 2025 conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap launched a call for papers for the 15th CITA 2026 conference and handed over the rotating organizing flag to the representative of Phenikaa University (Hanoi), the host institution to be held in Ha Long, Vietnam, tentatively in July 2026.
