
The event was co-organized by Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communications Technology - VKU (University of Danang) in collaboration with the Cambodian Academy of Digital Technology (CADT), the Southeast Asian University Community for Innovation and Scientific Research (ACIR) and the Vietnam Association of Information and Communications Technology Faculties - Schools - Institutes (FISU Vietnam) with the participation of many scientists from more than 30 countries around the world .
In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of VKU, Head of the Organizing Committee, Founder of the CITA conference, and Co-founder of ACIR, said that after 14 years of continuous development, CITA has become a prestigious international academic forum, connecting research communities in the fields of information technology, communications and digital economy ; a bridge to spread knowledge, promote innovation and contribute to the digital transformation process of the country and the Southeast Asian region.
Initiated in 2012, CITA is a series of scientific conferences on information technology and its applications in various fields organized annually by VKU. This year's conference shows a great step forward in the scale and quality of an international conference.
The Organizing Committee received 165 scientific papers from more than 450 authors from more than 30 countries and territories around the world. Of these, 73 papers were selected to be published in Lecture Notes of Networking and Systems (acceptance rate was 44%). Four papers were selected to be published in the dedicated issue of the Journal of Research, Development and Application of Information and Communication Technology (ISSN 1859-3526), Journal of Information and Communication (Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam).
The conference has 12 reporting sessions with many topics on: Data science and artificial intelligence; image processing and natural language; software technology and information systems; digital economy...
At the closing session of the CITA 2025 conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Cong Phap launched the call for papers for the 15th CITA 2026 conference and handed over the rotating organizing flag to a representative of Phenikaa University (Hanoi), the host unit in Ha Long, Vietnam scheduled for July 2026.
