With a limited mouth and difficulty eating and communicating, patient KL was taken by his family to Da Nang Oncology Hospital for examination and treatment.
Through clinical examination and diagnostic imaging, the tumor was determined to be 6,5 x 9 x 3,5 cm in size on the skin of the upper lip, spreading to both sides of the mouth, lower lip, chin, invading the gums of the upper teeth. , lower jaw, part of the maxillary alveolar bone, above invading the external nostril.
The patient was diagnosed by the hospital with widespread invasive lip cancer and was treated with chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy.
According to the hospital, up to now, after 6 months of treatment, the patient's health and psychological condition have improved significantly. The patient was able to eat and drink by mouth.
