On January 12th, a delegation from Hua Phan province (Lao People's Democratic Republic), led by Comrade Kham Pheng Xay Som Pheng, Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Governor of Hua Phan province, visited and extended New Year greetings to the Party Committee, government, and people of Quang Ninh province. Welcoming the delegation were Comrades Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
In a warm atmosphere of comradeship and brotherhood, Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, expressed his joy at welcoming the high-level delegation from Hua Phan province. Recalling the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos, and between Quang Ninh and Hua Phan provinces, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: Vietnam and Laos are two neighboring countries sharing a common border, and the close fraternal relationship between the Vietnamese and Lao peoples has been formed and nurtured over thousands of years of history. Based on this excellent relationship, the special traditional friendship between the Party committees, governments, and people of Quang Ninh and Hua Phan provinces has been diligently cultivated by many generations of leaders and people of both provinces, always maintaining a strong, loyal, and pure bond.
Over the past period, under the leadership of the two Parties and Governments of Vietnam and Laos, the Party committees, authorities, cadres, soldiers of the armed forces, and people of all ethnic groups in the two provinces have always upheld the tradition of special solidarity and friendship, strengthening comprehensive cooperation in socio -economic, defense, and security fields. In particular, over the past years, Quang Ninh province has always done its utmost to contribute to fostering the great relationship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, especially in supporting infrastructure development, education, human resource training, and disease prevention. Currently, Quang Ninh province is focusing on implementing the cooperation contents for the 2022-2026 period between Quang Ninh province and Hua Phan province.
Provincial Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang expressed his hope that Quang Ninh and Hua Phan provinces would continue to build upon the achievements of the past and actively strengthen the close-knit friendship and solidarity between the people of Quang Ninh and Hua Phan provinces, contributing to the development of the special friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos to a new level.
Comrade Kham Pheng Xay Som Pheng, Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Governor of Hua Phan Province, respectfully expressed his gratitude for the warm affection and hospitality extended by the provincial leaders to the delegation, as well as the immense assistance provided by the Party Committee, government, and people of Quang Ninh Province to Hua Phan Province over the years. He affirmed that this sincere and selfless assistance has made a significant contribution to the development of Hua Phan Province.
The comrade expressed his hope that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to strengthen cooperation in the fields of Party building, education and training, tourism, industry, and agriculture ; and pay attention to investing in the implementation of socio-economic development projects. Through this, the special friendship between Laos and Vietnam in general, and between Hua Phan and Quang Ninh in particular, will be further deepened.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 (Year of the Snake), Comrade Kham Pheng Xay Som Pheng sends his best wishes to the Party Committee, Government, and people of Quang Ninh province for a new year and new victories.
Earlier, the delegation from Hua Phan province visited and surveyed the new rural development model in Viet Dan commune, Dong Trieu city.
