The monitoring delegation of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs inspected the construction site of Hoa Hong Kindergarten, Muong Ang town.

In 2023, the total capital allocated and mobilized to implement the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Muong Ang district is over 115 billion VND. The disbursed budget up to November 30, 2023 is over 62 billion VND, reaching 54.1% of the assigned capital plan. Implementing the main targets of the Program, Muong Ang district continues to spend on 11 projects, invests in 4 new projects and maintains 20 projects. Over 80% of poor and near-poor households are supported to improve production capacity. The poverty rate according to the district's multidimensional poverty standard decreased by 8.32% compared to 2022.

Comrade Le Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, presented gifts to representatives of Muong Ang Clean Fruit Cooperative.

Projects, sub-projects, and activities of the Program were implemented synchronously. 24 projects were implemented to diversify livelihoods and develop poverty reduction models for 518 households; 15 production development projects were supported for 272 households; 133 poor and near-poor households were newly built or repaired houses... Regular poverty reduction policies and social policy credits to support poverty reduction were fully, promptly, and targeted to the right subjects according to regulations.

Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Le Van Thanh visited the fruit tree growing model in Muong Ang district.

At the meeting, delegates discussed the difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in the district. At the same time, Muong Ang district requested the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to consider and propose to adjust the funding sources between projects and sub-projects to suit the actual situation of the locality.
