On September 2nd, the People's Committee of Son Vi commune, Lam Thao district, organized a duck-catching swimming game. This is one of the unique activities held in the commune to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2nd, 1945 - September 2nd, 2024).

The organizers are preparing to release the ducks into the pond.

Locals participate in chasing ducks in the pond.
At Uncle Ho's fish pond (Zone 10), 150 ducks were released into the pond for people to catch. Participants had to be healthy and know how to swim. The game attracted a large number of people, especially young men who were good and skillful swimmers. There were no teams or winners/losers; the reward for participants was the number of ducks they caught.

A large crowd of people came to watch and cheer.
