Mr. Yusuke Adachi - former Technical Director of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) - has accepted the position of General Director of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club.
Binh Phuoc FC is currently competing in the National First Division, with former national team player Nguyen Anh Duc as head coach. In the 2023-2024 season, the team underwent a transformation with a new sponsor and set a goal of securing promotion to the V-League in the 2024-2025 season. Furthermore, they aim for sustainable development, creating a professional club model, and have invited Mr. Yusuke Adachi to become the General Director for the project.
Mr. Adachi is a familiar face in Vietnamese football. From September 2020 to January 2023, he served as the Technical Director of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). On the day of the launch of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club on January 25th, Mr. Adachi expressed his delight at returning to Vietnam to work. The expert confidently stated that he will help develop football in Binh Phuoc, thanks to his knowledge and experience working for the Japan Football Association (JFA), FIFA, and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
"To develop football, we shouldn't just focus on immediate results, but also prioritize building processes and setting medium- and long-term goals. Binh Phuoc Club can invest heavily in the first team, but that's not enough for long-term and sustainable development. I've agreed with the club president that we will work together to create a new model of football clubs in Vietnam," said Mr. Adachi.
The chairman of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc FC, Pham Huong Son, also expressed his hope that Mr. Adachi would elevate the team towards sustainable development, different from the current football model in the country. He said: "The club has faith in Mr. Adachi's challenging but hopeful journey in Binh Phuoc, especially in youth training, to have a stable and sustainable source of players to contribute to Vietnamese football."
After 8 rounds of the First Division league, Binh Phuoc has 9 points, ranking sixth.
