First Division team hires former VFF technical director

Mr. Yusuke Adachi - former Technical Director of Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) - accepted to be the General Director of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club.

Binh Phuoc Club is currently playing in the National First Division, with former player Nguyen Anh Duc as head coach. In the 2023-2024 season, the team has transformed itself with a new sponsor and set a goal of winning a ticket to the V-League in the 2024-2025 season. In addition, they also want to develop sustainably, create a professional club model, and invite Mr. Yusuke Adachi to be the General Director of the project.

Mr. Adachi is a familiar face to Vietnamese football. From September 2020 to January 2023, this expert worked as the Technical Director (GĐKT) of VFF. He is responsible for planning, organizing, and planning for Vietnam's youth teams, and is responsible for training human resources for Vietnamese youth football. In addition, Mr. Adachi also participates in the youth coach training system, updating the most modern training and competition methods today with the goal of helping Vietnamese football catch up with international trends and levels.

On the day of the launch of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club on January 25, Mr. Adachi expressed his joy at returning to work in Vietnam. This expert is confident that he will help Binh Phuoc football develop, thanks to his knowledge and experience working for the Japan Football Association (JFA), FIFA, and VFF.

"To develop football, we must not only focus on immediate results, but also focus on building processes and setting medium and long-term goals. Binh Phuoc Club can invest a lot in the first team, but that is not enough for long-term and sustainable development. I have agreed with the club president on the view that together we will create a new football club model in Vietnam," said Mr. Adachi.

Chairman of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club, Pham Huong Son also hopes that Mr. Adachi will elevate this team towards sustainable development, different from the current football model in the country. He said: "The club believes in Mr. Adachi's difficult but hopeful journey in Binh Phuoc, especially in youth training, to have a stable and sustainable source of players to contribute to Vietnamese football."

After 8 rounds of the First Division, Binh Phuoc has 9 points, ranked sixth.
