The workshop was attended by over 100 delegates, including international experts, representatives from development organizations, businesses, cooperatives in the province, and solution providers in the fields of logistics, traceability, digital transformation, finance, and agricultural trade.

This activity is part of the sub-project “Strengthening Inclusive Supply Chain Innovation in Son La,” within the framework of the GREAT Project funded by the Australian Government. The project, implemented since 2017 with a total investment of A$67.4 million, focuses on supporting ethnic minority women in the Northwest region to enhance their economic resilience through agricultural and tourism development.

At the workshop, delegates shared initial research findings on agricultural supply chain innovation in Son La; exchanged views on inclusive business models, experiences in co-creating with ethnic minority women, and the role of stakeholders in the ecosystem supporting businesses and cooperatives.

Delegates participated in discussions focusing on each link in the supply chain, such as production, harvesting, transportation, storage, processing, and market access; assessing existing innovations, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and proposing solutions to enhance the participation of ethnic minority women in the agricultural value chain.
The workshop also updated participants on prominent trends in the agricultural supply chain in 2026, such as digital transformation, traceability transparency, green development, meeting modern market standards, and strengthening supply chain linkages. Many businesses presented practical application models for traceability, agricultural logistics, digital management of supplies and input costs, and financial solutions for agricultural cooperatives and enterprises.

The workshop contributed to promoting the formation of an ecosystem supporting innovation in the agricultural supply chain in Son La in an inclusive, efficient, and sustainable manner; at the same time, creating more opportunities for ethnic minority women to enhance their market participation, improve their livelihoods, and develop their long-term economy.
