Teacher Nguyen Thanh Ha is always concerned about how to make traditional educational activities more lively and relatable to elementary school students. He regularly organizes many activities to help children learn, play, and experience in a safe and healthy educational environment, such as playgrounds for children following the five teachings of Uncle Ho; telling stories about Uncle Ho during flag-raising ceremonies; and commending exemplary children who exemplify Uncle Ho's teachings. Recognizing that today's students quickly adapt to technology, while many forms of communication still rely heavily on reading and listening, lacking visual aids, Teacher Ha has organized more modern approaches to his activities. Competitions on history, traffic safety, and life skills are organized online, incorporating QR code scanning and interactive games to engage students.
Mr. Ha advised the school's Party Committee to build a Ho Chi Minh cultural space in the library to introduce the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh. “After receiving approval from the Party Committee and the school's Board of Directors, I began collecting hundreds of authentic documents about the life, career, thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh; stories about him, songs, documentary films, e-books… All of this is not only presented through images and infographics for students to easily follow, observe, and absorb, but also digitized, scientifically stored, and then created into QR codes to help teachers easily access the resources for teaching,” Mr. Ha shared.
To commemorate the 115th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's departure to seek a path to national salvation (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2026), Mr. Ha spearheaded the creation of a space dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh and children in all classrooms to bring his image closer to the students. Here, information about his life, career, and especially his journey to find a path to national salvation is integrated into QR codes and linked to the school's website, creating a rich collection of information, from content to images and videos. This allows teachers to utilize and present information during thematic activities such as President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the day he left to seek a path to national salvation, and other major national holidays, enabling students to learn more. "The students really enjoy it because they get to see images and videos instead of just reading text, making stories about President Ho Chi Minh more relatable and easier to remember," Mr. Ha said.
According to many teachers, after digitization, teachers can easily access teaching materials with just a smartphone or tablet. Students can also scan the QR codes to learn more after each lesson, thanks to teachers sending QR codes to parents' Zalo groups.
Mr. Ha has almost become the school's "technology hub." From designing promotional infographics, creating videos, building e-learning materials, creating online survey forms, managing student data… to guiding teachers in applying artificial intelligence to lesson planning, Mr. Ha is always willing to share his expertise. In management, many types of records have been digitized, significantly reducing paperwork and saving teachers time. According to Mr. Ha, the most important aspect of digital transformation in each institution is changing mindsets and knowing how to utilize platforms that suit the school's specific conditions. "If a QR code can save teachers a few minutes searching for documents, an electronic form can reduce dozens of pages of paper, or a video can make students more interested in the lesson, then these are all valuable things worth doing," Mr. Ha said.
Mr. Ha proactively researched digital platforms and advised the school's Party branch on implementing various solutions to improve the effectiveness of Party activities. He supported the deployment of the electronic Party member handbook, guided Party members in installing and using applications to study resolutions, update information, track meeting schedules, and carry out assigned tasks. For many older Party members, initial access to technology was inevitably challenging, so after each meeting, he patiently stayed to guide them through each step, from logging in and changing passwords to searching for documents and posting positive information within the Party branch and on their personal pages.
According to the Principal of Vinh Binh Bac 4 Primary School, Mr. Ha's initiatives have contributed to the innovation of the Youth Union's activities and helped improve management efficiency, creating a modern working environment. The "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" has become a familiar destination for students during recess. Party branch meetings have also become more lively and effective thanks to the application of digital technology.
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Xuan, Deputy Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Vinh Binh Commune Party Committee, commented that Comrade Nguyen Thanh Ha is a Party member with strong political qualities, a high sense of responsibility, and always exemplary and pioneering in carrying out assigned tasks. In his work, he demonstrates a proactive spirit in studying, researching, and effectively applying digital transformation solutions to professional activities, Party work, and management, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of student education. In addition, Comrade Ha actively participates in supporting the commune's digital transformation team, contributing to promoting the digital transformation process in the locality.
