The Binh Minh Organic Agricultural Cooperative is highly regarded because, from its inception, it has focused on investing in all crops according to VietGAP standards with an organic orientation. Mr. Do Thanh Kim, Deputy Director of the Cooperative, said that recognizing the inevitable trend of consuming clean agricultural products with clear origins and produced according to organic standards, since the end of 2020, the Cooperative has developed a plan, demarcated planting areas, and selected fruit trees and medicinal plants such as: male papaya, ginseng, black sesame, milk thistle, velvet crocus, sapodilla, mango, guava, pear, Vinh orange… which are the local strengths, as the core crops for development.

The cooperative's product, guava tea and male papaya flower soaked in honey, has just been exported to the United Kingdom.

In mid-2023, the cooperative began harvesting fruit trees and medicinal plants and expanding production. At this time, the cooperative received 100 million VND in support from the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting, enabling it to boldly invest in building a factory and purchasing additional machinery and equipment to complete its production line. After more than a year of operation, the new production line, with a capacity of 15-20 tons of raw materials per year, generated revenue of approximately 7 billion VND per year; after-tax profit reached over 900 million VND per year; and contributed over 700 million VND to the state budget.

Currently, the cooperative's raw material area covers over 21 hectares. The processes from planting and caring for the plants to processing the cooperative's products are all ensured to follow a closed-loop chain. To date, the cooperative produces 14 agricultural products, all of which have been tested and certified for quality and pesticide residue levels, certified as meeting food safety standards, and bearing traceability labels. The cooperative has 7 products recognized as OCOP 3-star in 2023, including: Green-hearted black bean tea, Black sesame tea, Guava tea, Black sesame papaya flower ginseng tea, Cold-dried male papaya flowers, Male papaya flowers soaked in honey, and Pear guava. These products are displayed and sold at the OCOP product showroom of Tuyen Quang province and other regions on the 2nd floor of Vincom Shopping Center; distributed to retail outlets inside and outside the province; and sold on e-commerce platforms such as Sendo, Facebook, Zalo, and TikTok.

The Binh Minh Organic Agricultural Cooperative received 100 million VND in support from the local industrial promotion fund, which it used to invest in modern equipment for product manufacturing.

Notably, the cooperative recently exported 640 jars of guava tea and male papaya flower tea soaked in honey to the United Kingdom. These two products are manufactured using modern production lines, ensuring strict processing procedures. After harvesting, the products are carefully selected, sliced, and freeze-dried for a standardized period to preserve their nutritional value.

Mr. Do Thanh Kim, Deputy Director of the Cooperative, shared that the selection of the Cooperative's products for export to the UK market is a source of pride and motivation for the Cooperative to continue developing. In the future, the Cooperative will continue to encourage and guide households to jointly cultivate and care for medicinal plants according to organic standards; research and bring to market new high-value products for consumers.
