The opening ceremony of Traditional Craft Festival 2023 will be held at 20:00 on April 28 at the square in front of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted.

Come to the art program The Opening Ceremony takes place in the evening 28/04/2023 At the stage of the Square in front of Quoc Hoc School, viewers will admire the unique art performances designed and staged according to a story through the name. "Worker's Hand" under the direction of Director Le Quoc Vinh. The trick to connect the story will be newly created music and choreography based on the mainstream of Hue music, but on a modern and new rhythm. The music is performed by musician Tri Minh, combined with art direction by NSUT Tran Ly Ly and two young choreographers Pham Quynh Duong and Tong Mai Len. Participating in the program will be favorite artists such as Tuong Tuong Band, singers Dong Hung, Bao Tram, Son Thach, cellist Dinh Hoai Xuan, designer - Hue ao dai artist Dang Viet Bao. Besides, there will be the appearance of Korean guest star Bobby Kim.
A new mark and also a difference in the opening night, it is the image of the traditional craft fire that will be lit by the previous generations of artisans. They will pass on the spirit of this craft to the next generation of artisans in the Closing program with the theme "Passing on Fire", on the evening of 5/5/2023. The flame is also a beautiful handmade creation in the shape of a lotus flower, crafted by artist Do Huu Triet with the art of blue-green, bearing the unique cultural significance of Hue Citadel. The special feature of this year's opening stage will be different from any event that has taken place at Quoc Hoc Beer or Quoc Hoc school gate, that is, the stage is stretched from Quoc Hoc Beer to the school gate and is completely open, using the existing scene, without installing additional components that affect the magnificent beauty of the two buildings bearing Hue's history.
Audiences sit on two stands, admire the program from above, like a stadium stand, watch the performances on stage with graphic images projected throughout the square, and will watch via livestream on phones or LED screens. This is a hybrid viewing experience, both offline and online. Coming to Hue this time is an opportunity to see how new and modern Hue is.
