- Due to the impact of heavy rains lasting for many days during storm No. 11, a number of power lines and poles in Lang Son province were broken and tilted. In addition, due to flooding in many communes, in the past few days, more than 46,000 customers in the province have lost power. Lang Son electricity industry is focusing all its efforts to quickly restore power supply to serve people's daily activities and production activities of enterprises.
According to preliminary statistics of the Huu Lung Regional Power Management Team, due to the impact of storm No. 11, in the area managed by the unit (communes of Huu Lung, Cai Kinh, Yen Binh, Van Nham, Tuan Son, Tan Thanh, Thien Tan, Huu Lien in the old Huu Lung district), about 20 electric poles were knocked down or broken; 18 medium and low voltage lines were damaged or broken; about 50 transformer stations, transformers and more than 5,000 electric meters were submerged in water. In addition, due to the widespread flooding in most communes of the old Huu Lung district, the Huu Lung Regional Power Management Team was forced to temporarily stop supplying electricity to more than 24,000 customers (as of the morning of October 9).
Mr. Tran Van Ninh, Head of the Huu Lung Regional Power Management Team, said that from October 7 to the morning of October 9, the unit focused on 100 personnel and equipment to carry out and inspect the entire power grid system in the management area. Accordingly, in order to restore power to households as soon as possible, the unit is prioritizing handling incidents on the 35kV medium voltage line, then re-checking all about 300 transformer stations, low voltage power grid systems... so that when the water recedes, power can be restored as soon as possible to households and customers in the communes under the unit's management. And by the morning of October 9, the unit had restored power to nearly 2,000 customers.
Not only the Huu Lung Regional Power Management Team, in recent days, the Trang Dinh Regional Power Management Team has focused all its efforts on troubleshooting problems to quickly restore power to customers.
Mr. Lanh Van Hop, Team Leader of the Trang Dinh Regional Power Management Team, shared: Due to the impact of storm No. 11, from the afternoon of October 6 to 7, in the management team's area, some communes such as That Khe, Trang Dinh, Tan Tien... were flooded on a large scale, so many transformer stations (25 stations) and low-voltage lines were flooded, so the unit was forced to temporarily stop supplying electricity to more than 10,000 customers. But immediately after the water receded, from October 8 to now (morning of October 9), the Team has mobilized all human resources, equipment, materials... to deploy troubleshooting, restore power to more than 6,000 customers. For customers who are without power, the team is checking transformer stations and the power grid system. When safety conditions are ensured, power will be restored, and by the evening of October 9 at the latest, power will be supplied to all of these customers.

In addition to the two units mentioned above, in the past few days, other regional power management teams have also focused all their human resources, working continuously for many hours, through the night to handle and fix problems caused by the recent storm No. 11 to restore power to customers who lost power. With that effort, by 10:00 a.m. on October 9, more than 16,000 customers had their power restored.
However, as of the morning of October 9, there were still about 30,000 customers without electricity. Talking with the leaders of Lang Son Electricity Company, we learned that the customers without electricity are all households in areas that are still flooded and isolated, so the power supply has not been restored. As soon as the conditions for power supply are met, the electricity industry will check, repair and quickly restore power to the customers who are without electricity.
Currently, the leaders of Lang Son Electricity Company have directed the affiliated units to mobilize 100% of human resources and all means such as cranes, hot electrical repair vehicles, trucks, and materials and equipment such as electric wires, insulators, poles... to both inspect the entire power grid system, and when defects or damaged equipment are detected, they will be replaced to quickly fix them, thereby making efforts to restore power supply to customers as quickly as possible.

Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy Director of Lang Son Power Company, said: Currently, the Company's leaders have directed the regional power management teams to closely monitor the flooding situation in the management area. At the same time, the motto "where the water recedes, we will approach there" is implemented to develop solutions to supply electricity to customers as soon as possible. In particular, at this time, priority is given to restoring distribution transformer stations, power poles, damaged lines and other electrical incidents, as well as organizing the energization of support circuits, etc. to promptly restore electricity to customers, thereby helping to ensure the restoration of daily activities of people in the communes that were flooded in the recent past.
In fact, restoring power to customers is important, but ensuring safety before power is equally important. Therefore, to ensure absolute safety for people when power is restored, currently, in parallel with troubleshooting problems on the power grid system, regional power management teams also send power departments to each deeply flooded household to check and review the household's power system to guide and advise people on safety measures before using electricity after power is restored such as: re-checking the entire system and electrical equipment of your family to ensure safety, no electric leakage; if necessary, replace equipment, especially flooded electrical outlets... thereby preventing electrical accidents during use.
It is known that on the morning of October 9, the regional electricity management teams, especially the Huu Lung and Trang Dinh Regional Electricity Management Teams, always assigned staff to be on duty in the areas, proactively coordinated with the commune authorities, police and military forces to approach the areas with damaged electrical equipment to conduct inspection, repair and replacement in order to quickly restore power to customers in the province, to ensure production and business activities and stabilize people's lives.
