(NADS) - Comrade Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, has been transferred and appointed to the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
On March 14th, the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee held a conference to implement the Central Party Secretariat's decision on personnel matters.
Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Mai Van Chinh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Standing Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department; Mr. Lai Xuan Mon, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Standing Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; and Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council of Ben Tre province.
At the conference, Mr. Mai Van Chinh announced the decision of the Central Party Secretariat to transfer and appoint Mr. Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and Head of the Central Propaganda Department, extended his congratulations to Mr. Tran Thanh Lam.
Mr. Tran Thanh Lam is the head of the Central Committee's Propaganda Department of the Youth Union.
"Comrade Tran Thanh Lam received basic training and participated in Youth Union activities from the grassroots level to the Central Youth Union. Later, Comrade Lam worked in journalism and publishing, leading a newspaper and working at the Central Propaganda Department, advising on journalism, publishing, culture, literature, and arts."
To date, the Secretariat of the Central Committee has considered and decided to relieve him of his position as Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department and to appoint him to the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
"This process was meticulously prepared by the authorities at all levels in terms of personnel, with the agreement and support of the central government and the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee," said Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia.
Mr. Lam also pledged before the Party Committee, the government, and the people of Ben Tre province that he would always strive to improve his political acumen; maintain his moral character and exemplary lifestyle; and actively study, learn from, and absorb the experience of previous generations of leaders.
During his time working at the Central Propaganda Department, Comrade Tran Thanh Lam made many practical contributions to the development of Vietnamese journalism and literature and art. In particular, in the field of photography, Comrade Thanh Lam also provided guidance, advice, direction, and worked with the leaders of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to find solutions and the right direction for Vietnamese photography.
