Online conference to deploy oral propaganda and reporting tasks in 2024

BTO-This morning, December 8, the Central Propaganda Department held the Central Reporters Conference for December and summarized the oral propaganda work, reporter and propagandist activities in 2023, and deployed tasks for 2024 online. Comrade Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department chaired the conference.

At the conference, delegates listened to Comrade Ngo Le Van, Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission, briefly inform about the State visit of President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and his wife to Vietnam from December 12 to 13, 2023. Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy Ngan, Deputy Secretary General of the National Assembly , Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office, briefly inform about the results of the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly.

In addition, the conference spent a lot of time summarizing the oral propaganda work, reporter and propagandist activities in 2023, and deploying tasks for 2024. Accordingly, in 2023, oral propaganda work, reporter and propagandist activities had many positive changes; awareness of party committees at all levels about this work has been raised. Propaganda committees at all levels proactively organized many conferences to disseminate and inform about the Party Central Committee's conferences both in person and online, linked to information on the local socio -economic situation...

In Binh Thuan, under the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Party committees from the provincial to grassroots levels have implemented the work of reporters, propagandists, information, public opinion orientation, raising awareness, unifying the Party, consolidating trust and consensus among the people. From there, it has made an important contribution to the fight against and refuting the wrong views and toxic information of hostile reactionary forces, contributing to preventing the degradation of political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation"; solving many ideological issues, pressing incidents, stabilizing the situation and promoting the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, maintaining national defense and security.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, comrade Phan Xuan Thuy emphasized that, based on the reality of 2023 and forecasts of the domestic and international situation in 2024, propaganda committees at all levels need to continue to innovate oral propaganda work, the activities of reporters and propagandists; promote the role and strengths of oral propaganda work compared to other forms of propaganda. In particular, focusing on promoting the role and responsibility of reporters and propagandists and the role of party committees in this work; effectively exploiting the form of organizing conferences to disseminate and implement Party resolutions in online and in-person forms.

Along with that, focus on propaganda on areas and issues that are generating different opinions, sensitive issues that many people are interested in to orient public opinion, create unity in perception and action in society. Improve the quality of information provision for reporters and propagandists; promote the application of information technology and artificial intelligence in oral propaganda activities. In particular, combine propaganda work well with grasping public opinion, promptly advise Party committees at all levels in leadership, direction and propaganda orientation to stabilize the political security situation and social safety in the locality...

On this occasion, the Central Propaganda Department awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in reporting and propagandist activities in 2023.
