Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Vo Thanh Binh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Le Thi Bich Lien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training, and comrades in the Provincial Party Committee's congress steering working group; former commune leaders of different periods, and 79 official delegates, representing more than 300 party members of the entire Party Committee.
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, comrade Pham Duy Hien, Secretary of the Dong Giang Commune Party Committee, emphasized: In the past term, despite many difficulties, the Party Committee and people of Dong Giang Commune have promoted the spirit of solidarity, made efforts to overcome difficulties, and implemented the Resolution for the 2020-2025 term, achieving many important results. Notably, the work of building new rural areas achieved 5 more criteria, agricultural production changed positively, people's lives were increasingly improved, national defense and security were maintained, and the political system was consolidated.
This Congress has the task of evaluating the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the previous term, drawing lessons; at the same time, determining the directions, goals, tasks and key solutions for the 2025 - 2030 term, emphasizing breakthrough contents to build Dong Giang to soon meet the standards of an advanced new rural commune, developing comprehensively and sustainably.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Vo Thanh Binh, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of solidarity and efforts to overcome difficulties of the Party Committee and People of Dong Giang Commune - a new unit formed on the basis of merging Dong Giang and Dong Tien communes. During the past term, despite the low starting point and many socio-economic difficulties, the Party Committee of the commune has basically fulfilled the targets set out in the Resolution.
Notably, total food output exceeded the target by 13.8%; the new rural construction program achieved many results; effective production models were gradually replicated; social security work was given attention; national defense and security were maintained. In particular, land management was carried out seriously, especially the protection of production land funds for ethnic minorities, preventing illegal buying and selling and transferring - an outstanding achievement demonstrating deep concern for people's lives.
Emphasizing the unique characteristics of Dong Giang commune - a land rich in revolutionary traditions, where the Provincial Party Committee Base Historical Relic Site in Salon is located; Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Vo Thanh Binh affirmed that this is a great advantage for the locality to develop its economy in association with tourism and traditional education. In addition, the land and climate conditions suitable for the development of commodity agriculture, along with the expanded space after the merger, are favorable foundations for Dong Giang to make a breakthrough in the coming term.

In that spirit, he suggested that the Party Committee of the commune focus on leading the implementation of 5 key groups of tasks. First, building a truly clean and strong Party Committee and political system; solidarity and unity within the Party and among the people after the merger; improving the quality of Party cell activities and innovating mass mobilization work, focusing on the grassroots. At the same time, developing the agricultural economy towards sustainable goods, planning concentrated production areas, promoting the application of science and technology, developing branded OCOP products, and at the same time promoting the potential of eco-tourism - community, returning to the source associated with the Salon relic.
Along with that, digital transformation is identified as a breakthrough, applying digital technology in production, management, and promotion of products and services. Effectively mobilizing resources to invest in essential infrastructure such as transportation, irrigation, schools, and medical stations, while promoting the internal strength of the people according to the motto "People do, the State supports, and people benefit". Ensuring national defense and security, maintaining political stability, preventing hot spots from arising, and creating a safe environment for sustainable socio-economic development.
Comrade Vo Thanh Binh believes that the Party Committee and People of Dong Giang commune will continue to promote the tradition of their heroic homeland, uphold the spirit of "Solidarity - Innovation - Creativity - Development", and successfully implement the goals and tasks set for the 2025 - 2030 term.
On this occasion, comrade Vo Thanh Binh presented the Congress with a banner bearing the words: "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development" as a wish and also a great expectation sent to the Party Committee and People of Dong Giang commune on the new journey.
