Mr. Pham Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of the Dam Doi District People's Committee, said: "With the view that education is a top national priority, timely and appropriate commendation and reward is one of the positive methods of propaganda and education to motivate and encourage students and teachers to strive harder. Through this, it also inspires other students and teachers to make greater progress every day. The commendation and reward process is carried out regularly, continuously, promptly, and ensures that the right people are rewarded for the right achievements, with clear, transparent, and serious criteria."
Notably, on July 20th, the People's Committee of Dam Doi District held a ceremony to commend Huynh Anh Khoi, a student from Dam Doi High School and the top scorer in the 2023 Ca Mau Provincial High School Graduation Examination. Accordingly, the District People's Committee awarded him a certificate of merit along with a 2 million VND cash prize; the District Education Promotion Association awarded him 1 million VND; and Dam Doi High School awarded him 1 million VND.

At the commendation ceremony, Mr. Pham Thanh Liem affirmed that Huynh Anh Khoi's achievement is another vivid testament to the tradition of studiousness, bringing glory, honor, and pride to Dam Doi High School and Dam Doi district. On this occasion, on behalf of the district leadership, he respectfully thanked the teachers of Dam Doi High School for their dedication and hard work in teaching, resulting in many proud achievements. He also requested that Party committees, government agencies at all levels, and relevant sectors continue to pay attention to, commend, and encourage Huynh Anh Khoi, as well as other exemplary students, helping them to have more motivation to strive to become excellent students and active citizens contributing to their homeland and country.
Dam Doi High School has consistently had students and teachers who have been commended and rewarded for many years.
Teacher Hung further shared: "Sometimes, just a small act of care can be a huge motivation for the school's staff to achieve high results." As proof, in the years organizing the high school graduation exam, the district always allocated funds to support schools in performing their professional duties well and providing all necessary conditions for candidates to perform well in the exam; simultaneously, they dedicated time to meeting with and encouraging teachers involved in organizing and supervising the exam... Thanks to this, the high school graduation exam results of the four schools in the district (Dam Doi High School, Thai Thanh Hoa High School, Quach Van Pham High School, and Tan Duc High School) have always reached 99% or higher. Dam Doi High School, in particular, has achieved 100% for many consecutive years; this year, the school had 6 out of 9 subjects with the highest scores in the province, and Huynh Anh Khoi was the valedictorian.
“Whenever there are students from our district participating in any exam or competition, the district secretary, chairman, and vice-chairmen always call to check on them. The school emphasizes that students who win prizes must be commended, rewarded, and given scholarships… For example, last school year, our school had two students who won Gold Medals in the Olympic competition and three students who won First Prize in the provincial-level excellent student competition. The district leaders rewarded each student with 2 million VND. This is very commendable,” said teacher Pham Viet Hung enthusiastically.

“Besides that, the district also pays close attention to caring for poor but studious students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a result of fundraising efforts, in the 2022-2023 school year, 101 bicycles, 57,500 notebooks, 183 sets of textbooks, and 30 life vests were donated... To proactively prepare for the new school year 2023-2024, right after the end of the previous school year, the district sent letters to companies, businesses, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to seek support to help students continue their education,” Mr. Pham Thanh Liem added.
It can be affirmed that the steady progress of the district's education sector is primarily due to the attention, leadership, and guidance of the local Party committees and authorities from the district to the grassroots level, as well as the guidance of the Ca Mau Department of Education and Training. This is coupled with the striving efforts of the entire management team, teachers, and students. Furthermore, it is thanks to the contributions and sponsorships of organizations, individuals, and philanthropists both within and outside the province... All of them are continuing the tradition of Dam Doi as a "land of learning" with proud achievements.
