The Vietnamese futsal team has a relatively easy schedule in Thailand.

The Vietnamese futsal team will participate in the 2024 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship in Thailand this November. Currently, the Vietnamese futsal team has been training since October 10th to prepare for the tournament.

Coach Diego Raul Giustozzi believes that Vietnamese players need to improve their goal-scoring ability, as well as their individual situational awareness on the field. The Vietnamese futsal team is focusing on addressing these weaknesses before departing for Thailand.

In the group stage, the Vietnamese futsal team will be in the same group as Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, and Timor Leste. Although the Malaysian futsal team has also made great progress, the Thai futsal team is still considered the most formidable opponent in the tournament.

In the group stage, the Vietnamese futsal team has a relatively favorable schedule, facing their main competitor, the Thai futsal team, in the final match. Therefore, coach Giustozzi's team will try to accumulate points when facing Timor Leste, Malaysia, and Brunei before the decisive match of the group.

According to the plan, the Vietnamese futsal team will travel to Thailand for training on October 25th. Coach Giustozzi and his team are expected to have two training matches against Hongyen Thakam Club (Thailand) on October 27th. This is the team that defeated Thai Son Nam Club 5-1 in the semi-finals of the 2023 Southeast Asian Club Futsal Championship. On October 29th, the Vietnamese futsal team will play a friendly match against the Australian futsal team.

3:30 PM, November 2nd, Vietnam vs. Timor Leste

3:30 PM, November 4th: Vietnam vs Malaysia

3:30 PM, November 5th: Vietnam vs. Brunei

6:00 PM, November 6th: Vietnam vs Thailand
