With a new vision and direction, Ninh Thuan focuses on implementing a comprehensive set of targeted solutions, transforming existing potential, advantages, and opportunities into powerful drivers of development; building and developing the Ninh Thuan tourism brand, developing plans for key tourist areas and destinations; and promoting the restructuring of the tourism industry towards professionalism, modernity, quality, and sustainability. The focus is on attracting economic sectors and encouraging businesses to develop and upgrade diverse and unique types of tourism and services, linked to promoting the value of heritage and national cultural identity, such as: beach resort tourism; cultural and historical tourism; ecotourism; agricultural and rural tourism; golf tourism; culinary tourism, etc., that are unique to the locality and highly competitive, attracting domestic and international tourists.
Strengthening tourism promotion and marketing efforts, organizing conferences and seminars; linking and cooperating in tourism development with other provinces and cities (Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Can Tho, Da Nang) to increasingly introduce and promote the image of Ninh Thuan tourism; along with developing a plan to organize training and knowledge enhancement for tourism personnel to meet the increasingly high demands of tourists; promoting digital transformation in tourism activities and disseminating and promoting Ninh Thuan tourism through mass media, websites, smart tourism applications on mobile devices (ninhthuantourism.vn), tourism publications... have yielded many positive results. In addition, state management of tourism has received attention; Many cultural, sports , and tourism activities and events have been successfully organized, contributing to attracting tourists and gradually establishing Ninh Thuan's tourism brand on the tourism map of Vietnam and the region.
The development of technical infrastructure serving tourism in the province has always been a priority over the years. Currently, the province has 55 tourism service projects that have received investment approval decisions and investment registration certificates (still valid), with a total registered capital of VND 50,623 billion. Of these, 27 projects have commenced operations with a total registered capital of VND 4,019.5 billion; 18 projects are under construction with a total registered capital of VND 39,935 billion; and 10 projects are completing the necessary legal procedures for construction with a total registered capital of VND 6,669 billion.
Currently, the province has 255 tourist accommodation establishments with 5,110 rooms, of which approximately 50% are of a quality equivalent to 3 stars or higher, basically meeting the needs for organizing national and international-scale events, conferences, and seminars. State management of accommodation services has been strengthened, with regular reminders and guidance for establishments to submit statistical reports on the software http://thongke.tourism.vn; notification of the start date of business or changes in ownership, business name, and name of tourist accommodation establishment; and procedures for recognizing the classification of tourist accommodation establishments. Tourism businesses in the province have invested in and upgraded many tourist spots and areas to create a wider reach and promote the image of Ninh Thuan tourism, diversifying tourism products and making tours to Ninh Thuan more interesting and full of experiences.
Tourism has fundamentally created momentum to promote the development of socio-economic sectors; created more jobs, improved the material and spiritual lives of the people, contributed to building new rural areas and developing traditional crafts; thereby affirming that tourism is gradually becoming a key economic sector with high added value and competitive appeal.
In the last six months of the year, the culture, sports, and tourism sector will continue to strengthen communication efforts to raise awareness among all levels, sectors, and society as a whole about developing tourism into a key economic sector linked to environmental protection. Coordination with departments, sectors, and localities will strengthen inspection and supervision of tourism business management activities in the province, focusing on strictly inspecting and controlling businesses operating illegally; concentrating on resolving difficulties and obstacles faced by tourism businesses in a timely, thorough, effective, and compliant manner. The survey and investigation of tourism resources in Ninh Thuan province for 2025 will continue to be implemented; and advice will be provided on assessing the minimum technical infrastructure requirements for accommodation establishments in the province.
