Let's take off in Dong Nai tourism with Long Thanh Airport.

On the afternoon of May 20th, the Dong Nai City Tourism Association organized a thematic seminar titled "Dong Nai Tourism Takes Off with Long Thanh Airport".

According to Mr. Pham Huong Son, Chairman of the Dong Nai City Tourism Association, the formation of Long Thanh Airport is not simply an infrastructure project, but a factor that has the potential to reshape the entire development space of Dong Nai, including tourism.

The Dong Nai City Party Committee is preparing to issue a new resolution on the development of tourism in Dong Nai, aiming to make this sector a key economic driver for the city.

The seminar attracted a large number of participants.

When Long Thanh Airport becomes operational, it will bring in a huge influx of tourists. The challenge is for Dong Nai province to retain these tourists by offering unique products and services.

"Dong Nai has many potentials, such as ecological resources, culture, traditional crafts, cuisine, and its regional connectivity. But frankly speaking, the city still has a significant gap between 'potential' and 'marketable products'."

"Connecting individual elements into a complete experience that is competitive and capable of retaining tourists remains an unresolved problem," shared Mr. Pham Huong Son.

Representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai City stated that the operation of Long Thanh Airport will open up great opportunities, but also create significant challenges for the city's tourism.

This requirement raises many questions for tourism development planning in order to leverage the advantages of airlines and attract investors and tourists, thereby creating a breakthrough for tourism development in Dong Nai.

Experts believe that, in the development of tourism associated with Long Thanh Airport, Dong Nai cannot stand alone but needs to be viewed in relation to spatial planning, transportation infrastructure, urban structure, and inter-sectoral and inter-regional coordination mechanisms.

In the short term, urban planning around the airport is needed, creating high-class hotel and resort complexes to serve international visitors traveling to and from Long Thanh. At the same time, unique tours and routes should be developed for tourists to explore and experience.
