On Saturday afternoon, the first week of March 2026, the Dong Loc Crossroads historical site was bustling with visitors from all over the country coming to visit and offer incense. Among these groups of visitors were many who were exploring Ha Tinh for the first time, yet everything here seemed familiar to them.

Ms. Do Thanh Mai (a tourist from Hanoi) said: “In fact, at home, I have already ‘traveled’ to Dong Loc Crossroads in particular and Ha Tinh in general through the digital space. The digitized destination information with images and detailed explanations on the internet not only helps us understand and plan our itinerary, book hotels, choose restaurants, even menus… but also attracts and motivates us to take this real trip.”

At Da Bac Eco Tourist Area (Thach Xuan commune), the digitalization of the destination has helped tourists feel more confident when experiencing the area. Ms. Nguyen Hong Nhung (a tourist from Nghe An) expressed: “Even though we had just arrived at Da Bac Eco, thanks to the QR code at the entrance gate, we were able to find out about the check-in points, entertainment options, menu choices, and accommodation options. From there, we were able to proactively plan our time to experience and carry out activities for the members of our group.”

Not only Dong Loc Crossroads or Da Bac Eco, but now, through their phone screens, tourists from all over the country and internationally can easily learn about Thien Cam Tourist Area, observe the grounds of the monument to the great poet Nguyen Du (Tien Dien commune), or walk step by step up to Huong Tich Pagoda (Can Loc commune).

These achievements are thanks to Ha Tinh's efforts in implementing the National Digital Transformation Project and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Project "Applying Industry 4.0 technologies to develop smart tourism and promote tourism as a key economic sector". To date, dozens of tourist areas, sites, and historical relics in the province have had their data digitized on a digital platform via the address https://dulichhatinh360.com and QR codes at the destinations. Notable examples include: Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac (Huong Son commune), Huong Tich Pagoda (Can Loc commune), Dong Loc Crossroads (Dong Loc commune), Nguyen Du Historical Site (Tien Dien commune), Da Bac Eco (Thach Xuan commune); Loc Ha, Thach Hai, and Thien Cam beaches...

In the early days of the platform's widespread introduction, Mr. Nguyen Van Hai (Hanoi) stumbled upon Ha Tinh's digital tourism website while researching destinations in Central Vietnam. "This is the first time I've seen a platform that allows you to explore Thien Cam beach with a 360- degree view. You can rotate in any direction, zoom in on different areas, and even see the panoramic view from above. It feels like you're standing right at this famous beach," Mr. Hai shared. According to Mr. Hai, the digital experience makes choosing a destination more interesting and has prompted him to plan a trip to Ha Tinh beach this summer.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: “Applying 3D/360 technology is an important step in the digital transformation of tourism, helping to digitize images of areas and destinations, creating a visual experience platform for tourists to learn about them directly in the digital environment. This is also a modern way of promoting tourism, helping to spread the image of Ha Tinh tourism widely, aiming towards the development of smart tourism in the future.”
In reality, technology cannot replace real-life trips, but it can become the first "gateway" leading tourists to their destinations. The increasing presence of tourist attractions in Ha Tinh in the digital space will contribute to making more tourists' journeys to the homeland of Hong Mountain and La River a reality.
