Bringing Vietnamese goods to the European market.

On October 11th, at the Monoprix Beaugrenelle shopping center (Paris, France), the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with Central Retail Vietnam and the Monoprix system – part of the Casino Group – held the opening ceremony of the “Vietnam Products Exhibition at Monoprix Beaugrenelle”, marking the beginning of a series of activities within the framework of the Vietnam Week in France 2025.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Vietnam Trade Week took place at the Monoprix Baugrenelle shopping center in Paris, France.

According to the VNA correspondent in Paris, in his opening remarks, Mr. Do Huu Hung, representing the organizing committee, emphasized that the event is a meaningful activity aimed at promoting high-quality Vietnamese goods, strengthening trade connections and cultural exchange between Vietnam and France. The program is part of the Vietnamese Government 's plan to promote domestic businesses' direct participation in foreign distribution systems by 2030, and is also linked to the "Better for Vietnam" strategy initiated by Central Retail.

The ceremony was attended by the Vietnamese Ambassador to France, Dinh Toan Thang; and representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade , including Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Market Development Nguyen Thao Hien and Deputy Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development Bui Nguyen Anh Tuan. Representing the French partners were Mr. Vincent Peyronnet, General Director of ExtenC - a subsidiary of the Casino Group, and representatives from Central Retail Vietnam, including Group General Director Olivier Langlet, Vice President for Trade Promotion Paul Le, and leaders from the external relations and communications departments.

Speaking at the ceremony, delegates expressed confidence that the "Vietnam Week at Monoprix" would contribute to bringing Vietnamese products closer to French and European consumers. This is an opportunity for 40 Vietnamese businesses to showcase agricultural products, processed foods, household goods, fashion , and consumer goods – items that embody Vietnamese cultural identity and meet the high standards of the European Union (EU) market.

Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang affirmed that the event is not only a step forward in bilateral economic cooperation but also demonstrates the strong friendship between Vietnam and France, which is developing vigorously in many fields, especially trade and investment.

Immediately following the speeches, the ribbon-cutting ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere, officially marking the opening of the Vietnamese product exhibition space at Monoprix Beaugrenelle – one of the leading prestigious retail systems in France.

At the exhibition area, visitors could experience typical Vietnamese products, from coffee, cashews, and fish sauce, to handicrafts and eco-friendly fashion. The booths were designed with a strong Vietnamese cultural flavor, combined with modern and sophisticated elements, attracting the attention of local consumers and the French media.

Olivier Langlet, General Director of Central Retail Vietnam, shared: “We are proud to partner with the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the effort to bring Vietnamese goods to the world. Today's event affirms the new position of Vietnamese products – quality, innovation, and full of potential – in the European market.”

At the end of the ceremony, delegates and guests toured the exhibition space, took commemorative photos, and exchanged ideas on cooperation opportunities between businesses of the two countries. The Vietnam Products Exhibition at Monoprix Beaugrenelle is expected to last until the end of October 2025, with many activities promoting and introducing products and connecting businesses directly, opening up new prospects for the journey of "Bringing Vietnamese goods to the world".
