Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, Director of the Institute for Brand and Competition Strategy Research:
Expectations for strong growth.
Da Nang is considered a development hub, a launching pad and support for the entire South Central Coast region. With clear planning policies, the city has a relatively fast growth rate compared to other localities.
Currently, Da Nang's development orientation focuses on the following areas: high-quality trade and services and tourism; high-tech industry; semiconductors and artificial intelligence; logistics and warehousing infrastructure; an international financial center and a free trade zone. It is clear that Da Nang is not merely a tourist city, but has developed into a multi-functional, multi-sector city, increasing its resilience to economic fluctuations.
In key sectors, Da Nang has a significant advantage in developing logistics, acting as a central hub and driving force for logistics development in the entire Central region. It possesses all the necessary elements, including seaports, airports, roads, railways, industrial parks, and high-tech zones. It serves as a gateway to the sea for the Central and Central Highlands provinces and the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), and is also a crucial node on the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC).
With the specific policies approved by the National Assembly , as well as the attention from the central government, I expect Da Nang to experience stronger development and attract leading strategic investors in infrastructure and finance.

MR. TRAN VAN KY, CHAIRMAN OF HATECO GROUP - REPRESENTING THE JOINT VENTURE OF INVESTORS FOR THE OVERALL CONSTRUCTION OF LIEN CHIEU CONTAINER PORT:
Project implementation on schedule.
The Lien Chieu container port master plan is capable of simultaneously receiving multiple large container ships; it is oriented towards a green port - a smart port model, thereby playing a pivotal role in driving the logistics ecosystem of the Central region and surrounding areas.
Technological and digital solutions are being implemented synchronously to improve operational efficiency, increase adaptability in the digital age and green economy, and contribute to restructuring urban transport space towards a modern, sustainable direction, linked to the goal of reducing emissions and protecting the environment.
With a project of this scale and scope, the requirements are not only investment efficiency, but also discipline in implementation, construction quality, and a sustainable contribution to socio-economic development, so that the people truly benefit from the results.
Based on that, we are committed to organizing and implementing the project on schedule, ensuring quality and overall effectiveness; strictly adhering to planning, laws, and international environmental standards; implementing it rigorously, transparently, strengthening discipline, and improving implementation efficiency; and linking project development with the long-term interests of the locality.

MR. TO VAN HIEP, HEAD OF THE INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION COMMITTEE OF THE VIETNAM AUTOMOBILE TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION, GENERAL DIRECTOR OF LIEN CHIEU XANH WAREHOUSING AND LOGISTICS JOINT STOCK COMPANY:
Towards a complete logistics ecosystem.
Lien Chieu Port opens up opportunities to form a new logistics ecosystem and capture market share early on, creating a cargo anchorage for shipping routes, reducing dependence on transshipment centers such as Singapore or Hong Kong (China), and proactively securing cargo sources in the region.
However, to realize this ambition, the port needs to address challenges related to infrastructure connectivity, cargo sources, and competition with larger port clusters, while simultaneously building a robust logistics ecosystem for the entire region. A seaport can be built in a few years, but forming a complete logistics ecosystem may take more than a decade.
Therefore, synchronized coordination between infrastructure, policies, and the business community will be the decisive factor in the future of Lien Chieu port as well as the role of logistics in Central Vietnam within the regional supply chain.
