Every May, the birthday of President Ho Chi Minh is commemorated with deep respect and gratitude by every Vietnamese person. He dedicated his entire life to the revolutionary cause, with the noble goal of achieving national independence and freedom, and ensuring a prosperous and happy life for the people. In recent days, the Party Committee, government, and people of Ca Mau have respectfully remembered Uncle Ho through many meaningful activities: offering incense at his temples and shrines; visiting historical sites to recall traditions; holding a "We Tell Stories About Uncle Ho" competition; and organizing a competition to promote revolutionary songs…

In keeping with that atmosphere, the Provincial Cultural Center developed an art program with the theme "Uncle Ho, a boundless love," featuring songs such as: "The Song of Ho Chi Minh," "Uncle Ho's Words Shine Forever," "Uncle Ho, a boundless love," "The Youth of the Ho Chi Minh Generation," "The Star of Faith, the Star of Ho Chi Minh," etc. A new feature this time is that the Center selected schools (Tan Loc Secondary and High School, Thoi Binh District; Khanh An High School, U Minh District; Tac Van High School, Ca Mau City; Dam Doi High School, Dam Doi District and Cai Nuoc High School, Cai Nuoc District) to perform from May 18-24.
The song "Uncle Ho's Words Shine Forever," composed by Bao Huy, is sung with the deep, gentle voice of Nhut Tan.
Artist Nguyen Quoc Tin, Deputy Director of the Provincial Cultural Center, shared: “This art program, when introduced to schools, will bring many positive things. Through theatrical performances, it helps students connect knowledge about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, feel proud of the revolutionary traditions of their homeland and country, and strive to be worthy of their ancestors. In addition, it provides young people with a meaningful channel to enjoy music, featuring heroic and profound revolutionary songs, both in lyrics and melody.”
After the performances, the students participated in a quiz and received prizes, creating a lively atmosphere. With the question: "This is a unique form of folk art and culture, considered a specialty of Ca Mau province whenever it is mentioned," the students eagerly raised their hands to answer, and the correct answer was the story of Uncle Ba Phi. Immediately afterwards, they witnessed the short play "Uncle Ba Phi Tells the Story of Trapping Lotus Birds," with the charming and humorous performances of artists Quoc Tin and Hoang Phuc.

At each performance venue, the program also incorporated exchange performances from various schools, with the presenters being members of the school's performing arts team, making it equally captivating. The students sang sweet and heartfelt songs praising their homeland and country for their friends and teachers. Tran Thanh Phat, a student in class 12C1 at Tac Van High School, excitedly said: “During this time, we have been focusing intensely on studying, but today, being able to sing on stage and listen to the performers from the Center has made us feel much more relaxed. I see this as encouragement to give us more confidence for the upcoming exam.”
Throughout the program, Ms. Nguyen Hong Thu, Vice Principal of Tac Van High School, expressed: “When the students heard that a cultural center was coming to the school to perform, they were extremely excited. Before now, they only entertained themselves through phones or television programs, rarely seeing live orchestral performances like this. It is truly meaningful that an art program featuring songs about Uncle Ho was held at the school. I hope that in the future, during important holidays of the province and the country, there will be art groups coming to the school to perform. This is also one of the practical ways to educate about traditions.”

The arts and culture movement in schools has been developing recently, as evidenced by arts and culture competitions organized by the education sector, the Youth Union, or club festivals... The establishment of a performing arts center in schools provides a favorable environment for school arts teams and groups to interact and learn from professional artists, thus promoting the continued development of arts and culture in schools.
Based on the success of this program, artist Nguyen Quoc Tin stated that in the future, the Center will focus on themed and event-based performances, targeting all segments of the population, to bring culture and arts closer to the audience. In addition, the Center will implement solutions to attract support from businesses and enterprises through touring events, aiming to revitalize the province's arts scene.
