According to statistics from the international study abroad consulting website AECC, more than 380,000 international students (including Vietnamese students) have registered to study in Germany in the winter semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.
This indicates that Germany is an attractive option for international students due to its high-quality teaching, reliable facilities, and the fact that students do not have to bear the large financial burden associated with other countries.
According to AECC and other sources, in addition to tuition-free education at public universities, the average cost of living for an international student in Germany is not too high, around 1,000 Euros per month (approximately 1,200 USD), less than in the UK (around 1,800 USD) and the US (around 1,500 USD).

Most universities have strengths in traditional fields such as: Quantum Science , Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, Law, and Business. Some universities have also opened new fields of study to suit the trends and demands of the times, such as: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.
