Travel + Leisure magazine's Asian edition has just released a list of 11 cable car routes offering the most breathtaking scenic views across the continent.
According to the article, cable car rides across the sea, forests, mountains, or archipelagos are becoming one of the most impressive ways for tourists to admire the natural landscapes of the region. In Asia, many outstanding cable car routes are mentioned, with Vietnam having three representatives.
The most notable is the Hon Thom cable car in Phu Quoc. This cable car currently holds the Guinness World Record for the longest over-sea cable car in the world , spanning approximately 8 km and connecting Phu Quoc Island with Hon Thom Island in the An Thoi archipelago. The journey, lasting about 15-20 minutes, takes visitors over the blue sea, local fishing villages, coral reefs, and small island clusters, offering a unique panoramic view from above.
This cable car line takes visitors to Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park, an amusement park featuring beaches, entertainment areas, and various beach tourism activities.
Vietnam's second representative is the Ba Na Hills cable car in Da Nang. This cable car system is known for having the world's longest non-stop single-wire cable car system, approximately 5 km long. In addition, the Vinpearl cable car in Nha Trang is also mentioned in the list.
