Using a hoe to beat a woman, causing 42% physical injury, Le Quang Chien (born in 1993, residing in Kim Hoa commune, Huong Son) was sentenced to 8 years in prison by the People's Court of Ha Tinh province.

On the afternoon of August 15, Ha Tinh Provincial People's Court opened the first instance trial of Le Quang Chien for the crime of "Murder".
According to the indictment, at around 9:00 p.m. on September 11, 2022, Chien was driving a motorbike to his aunt's house (Thanh Dung village, Son Kim 2 commune, Huong Son) when he met Ms. NTTD (born in 1999, residing in the same village) carrying two young children going in the opposite direction. To avoid a collision, both vehicles stopped.
At this time, Chien asked Ms. D. but got no response, so he was upset and turned around to chase her home.
Seeing Chien enter her house without permission, Ms. D. took out a knife and threatened the young man, asking him to leave. Seeing that, Chien went out to find a hoe and hit Ms. D. in the right temple, causing her to faint and fall to the ground. Witnessing this scene, Chien left the victim and left the scene.
According to the examination results, Ms. D. suffered 42% physical injuries. The authorities determined that Ms. D. did not die because she received timely emergency care, in addition to Le Quang Chien's subjective awareness.
After questioning and debate, the panel decided to postpone the verdict so that the two sides could reach an agreement on civil compensation.
On the afternoon of August 16, after considering and reviewing the circumstances, the People's Court sentenced Le Quang Chien to 8 years in prison for the above crime.
