On November 15, the Quang Ngai Department of Construction said that at Km112+200 on National Highway 24, passing through Mang Den commune, a 100-meter-long crack appeared, with the road surface raised about 1.2 meters.
Authorities have put up warning signs, roped off both ends of the damaged area and organized traffic flow, only allowing traffic on half of the road. Vehicles are asked to slow down and follow instructions to ensure safety.
The Department of Construction coordinated with local authorities to determine the cause and urgently develop a solution. Authorities are on duty 24/7 at the scene to regulate traffic and monitor road conditions.
The damage to National Highway 24 has affected the travel of tourists to Mang Den, especially at the end of the year when the number of visitors increases sharply.

Previously, according to statistics, Mang Den commune suffered heavy damage after storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi), many civil works, houses, schools and medical facilities were damaged, total damage of about 3 billion VND .
Mang Den is located at an altitude of 1,200 m, known as "the second Da Lat" with a cool climate all year round and a forest cover rate of more than 75%.
In recent years, the number of visitors to the locality has increased dramatically, from 120,000 in 2021 to 1.2 million in 2024, an increase of 900%. This year, Mang Den is expected to welcome more than 1.5 million visitors.
Talking to Tri Thuc - Znews , Mr. Dang Quang Ha, Secretary of the Mang Den Commune Party Committee, said that by 2030, this place will meet the criteria of a national tourist area, becoming the leading natural resort center in Vietnam.
"Tourism is the foundation, connecting the sea-forest axis. We build a sustainable tourism ecosystem based on nature and indigenous culture," he said.
Along with that, the general planning for the construction of Mang Den tourist area until 2045 has been approved by the Prime Minister, paving the way for the synchronous development of infrastructure, resort services and eco-tourism products.
