On November 15th, the Quang Ngai Department of Construction announced that at Km112+200 on National Highway 24, in the section passing through Mang Den commune, a 100-meter-long crack had appeared, causing the road surface to bulge by approximately 1.2 meters.

Authorities have placed warning signs, cordoned off both ends of the damaged area, and organized traffic diversion, ensuring that only half of the road is open for traffic. Vehicles are required to reduce speed and follow instructions to ensure safety.

The Department of Construction, in coordination with local authorities, is determining the cause and urgently developing a plan for remediation. Authorities are on duty 24/7 at the scene to regulate traffic and monitor the condition of the road surface.

The damaged condition of National Highway 24 is affecting the travel of tourists to Mang Den, especially during the end of the year when the number of visitors increases sharply.

In addition, the general planning for the construction of the Mang Den tourist area until 2045 has been approved by the Prime Minister, paving the way for the synchronized development of infrastructure, resort services, and ecotourism products.
