Tran Thanh's younger sister looks unfamiliar.

"Sister Falls, Brother Helps" has just released its teaser, revealing a story of family conflict – a rather popular theme on Vietnamese screens. The appearance of Uyển Ân in the cast has attracted attention.

"Chị ngã em nâng" is directed by Vũ Thành Vinh. Previously, he was known for his debut feature film, "Hai Muối " (2024), which grossed over 40.5 billion VND.

Returning with a new film project, Vu Thanh Vinh tells the story of a family that makes incense in Tay Ninh - where the childhood of two sisters, Thuong (Le Khanh) and Luc (Thuan Nguyen), is disrupted after the tragic loss of their parents.

From then on, Thuong had to shoulder the responsibility of raising and protecting her younger brother. Growing up in deprived conditions, Thuong remained strong and determined to change her life. After achieving success, she wanted Luc to follow the path she had "prepared." This imposition unintentionally created many conflicts and events, pushing the two further and further apart.

The recently released teaser trailer reveals a conflict between the main characters. At a birthday party, which also serves as the memorial service for their parents, Thuong and Luc are tense, soon escalating into an argument. The younger brother vents his frustration by exclaiming, "What is it that you can't forbid?", with a pained and conflicted expression.

Clearly, the central issue in "Sister Helps Sister" is family conflict, a theme that has always been well-received on Vietnamese screens. Sharing his thoughts on the role, Thuan Nguyen said he felt pressured to portray the character's complex emotions. On one hand, Luc opposes his older sister's "toxic" way of showing love. On the other hand, he must also bravely stand up to protect his girlfriend (Uyen An) from Thuong's bitter and sarcastic remarks.

Uyển Ân's appearance in the film has attracted attention. The actress portrays a girl with a distinctive appearance but an innocent and naive personality. The film also features Quốc Trường, People's Artist Tạ Minh Tâm, Meritorious Artist Hoài Linh, and others. Filming began in early June and the film is expected to be released in theaters in October 2025.
