Reports from numerous other users indicate that the issue occurs on both the web and mobile app versions. When accessing Facebook, some accounts only see the Facebook logo or a blank interface, while the News Feed, notification list, and posts fail to load.
On mobile phones, many accounts only display profile pictures, cover photos, and system error messages. Meanwhile, on computers, some report that the platform shows a logo or a blank interface without loading content. Messages are sent slowly, don't display sent status, chat history fails to load, or unusual error messages appear. This situation is occurring with Meta's major products in Vietnam, including Facebook, Messenger, Threads, and Instagram.
According to DownDetector, the Vietnamese version of the online incident tracking site, the number of Facebook error reports surged around 8:45 PM, exceeding 2,000 reports in just a few minutes. Meanwhile, the international version of the tool saw an unusual increase, with over 120,000 reports globally.

By 8:46 PM, Facebook had received over 120,000 error reports worldwide .

Similar to previous outages, users quickly switched to other platforms to find out the cause. On social network X, keywords related to Facebook and Messenger appeared frequently, with thousands of posts asking about the service access issues.
"We've noticed people are having trouble accessing services right now. We're working to fix it," Andy Stone, Meta's Director of Communications, stated on his X account at 9:11 p.m.
Around 9:30 PM, many people started accessing Facebook and Messenger again. By midnight on June 13th, there were almost no more errors related to Meta's platforms.
Previously, on March 5, 2024, Meta also experienced a global outage when many users' Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Threads, and Horizon Worlds accounts were unexpectedly logged out while using them on computers and phones. The situation lasted for about two hours, and Meta stated that it was a technical error, denying any hacking.
In April, many Messenger users encountered difficulties syncing their chat history. At the end of May, Meta's scanning system experienced a technical glitch, leading to the suspension of numerous Instagram accounts and forcing many content creators and online businesses to redirect their customers to other platforms. Meta subsequently issued an apology.
