The FBU Vietnam Masterclass 2026 advanced training program takes place against the backdrop of Southeast Asian countries strengthening their economic integration. The event is co-hosted by three prestigious organizations: the Hanoi University of Finance and Banking (FBU), a leading higher education institution in finance and banking in Vietnam; Simtify, a pioneer in innovation and corporate finance modeling; and GMx, a regional investor portal representing capital flows and strategic networks in the Singapore -Johor Economic Corridor.
A bridge for knowledge and a genuine digital launchpad for ASEAN.
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Bien, Chairman of the Board of the Hanoi University of Finance and Banking (FBU), emphasized the strategic vision of a unified ASEAN and affirmed the crucial role of SMEs in accessing new technological capabilities.

The Chairman of the School Board pointed out that, in the trend of globalization, ASEAN is no longer a collection of many separate markets but is strongly transforming into a unified investment corridor, where capital, technology, and talent move across borders at an unprecedented speed.

In this context, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – the largest sector in the economies of most ASEAN countries – are crucial drivers, but they also need to be equipped with the most substantial digital capabilities to avoid being left behind. Artificial intelligence , next-generation financial modeling, and regional investment corridors are no longer just the domain of multinational corporations. These are opportunities opening up for SMEs themselves – if we know how to systematize knowledge, standardize operational capabilities, and prepare for capital mobilization in an increasingly digitized world.
Emphasizing the significance of the event, which goes beyond a short-term training course, the Chairman of the FBU Board of Trustees declared this a long-term commitment by the university to partner with businesses. FBU positions itself as a strong bridge between academic research and business practice, between technological capabilities and the sustainable development needs of SMEs across the region.
A comprehensive perspective on policy and technological solutions.
Immediately following the opening ceremony, the program delved into in-depth discussions led by leading experts. In the morning session, Mr. Kingson, Head of Investor Relations at GMx, opened with a presentation on "One Market, One Opportunity," providing an in-depth analysis of the Johor-Singapore region and the "Network School" model combined with a global capital flow gateway.

In particular, Vietnam's macroeconomic context and policy orientation were clarified through the presentation by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Head of the Department of Enterprise and Collective Economy Development, Ministry of Finance of Vietnam. Ms. Thuy provided valuable insights into current financial reforms, digital infrastructure, and the practical impact of cross-border capital flows on the next generation of SMEs in Vietnam.
Continuing the program, Wayne Fun, Head of Innovation at BizPal, presented the "Building the Business Brain" model at the workshop, aiming to bridge the capacity gap between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and multinational corporations (MNCs), systematizing dispersed knowledge resources into a foundational solution to drive sustainable growth and enhance capital readiness.
FBU Vietnam Masterclass 2026 goes beyond simply offering technical lessons on AI or individual financial modeling tools. From a broader perspective, it provides a practical solution to the challenge of repositioning small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the face of the wave of cross-border capital flows.
The proactive collaboration from policymakers, international financial institutions like GMx and BizPal, and even higher education institutions like the Hanoi University of Finance and Banking (FBU) has demonstrated a new mindset: SMEs are no longer passive recipients of technology, but can become masters of "digital power" if equipped with knowledge and standardized operating systems.
