This year's crop season saw the entire province planting 22,625 hectares of rice. To date, more than 21,000 hectares have been harvested, reaching approximately 93% of the total planted area.

Due to the impact of typhoon No. 3 and its aftermath, nearly 1,500 hectares of summer rice (accounting for nearly 8% of the total area) were completely destroyed, concentrated in the districts of: Doan Hung (236ha), Ha Hoa (865.7ha), Cam Khe (79.2ha), Yen Lap (241.7ha), Tan Son (45.1ha), Thanh Son (14.5ha), and Lam Thao (3ha).

Nearly 1,500 hectares of summer rice crops were completely destroyed by Typhoon No. 3.

Farmers in Vinh Chan commune, Ha Hoa district, are planting winter vegetables.

Besides rice, the area planted with corn in the rainy season reached nearly 4,500 hectares, of which approximately 4,300 hectares have been harvested. Nearly 200 hectares were completely destroyed by storms and heavy rain, concentrated in two districts: Ha Hoa (nearly 158 hectares) and Tan Son (42 hectares). Along with corn, the area planted with green vegetables in the rainy season throughout the province reached over 4,400 hectares, of which over 4,070 hectares have been harvested. Nearly 280 hectares were completely destroyed in two districts: Ha Hoa (nearly 237 hectares) and Cam Khe (nearly 43 hectares).

Currently, farmers throughout the province are focusing on harvesting the remaining summer crop area according to the principle of "better to harvest while the crop is still green than to let it wither," while also concentrating on planting the winter crop to take advantage of the sunny days of the year. To ensure a successful winter crop, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has issued a document requesting the People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns to direct local authorities to guide farmers in implementing comprehensive solutions to overcome damage and restore agricultural production; to intensify care and pest control for already planted winter crops; to strengthen field inspections, promptly detect and effectively control pests and diseases; and to promote the planting of vegetables and other crops, avoiding crop abandonment and field neglect.

Organize disaster prevention and control effectively; prepare sufficient supplies, equipment, and personnel according to the "four on-the-spot" principle to be ready to respond to disasters and natural calamities. Proactively implement measures to drain water promptly when heavy rains occur, minimizing damage to production.
