Nearly 30 universities have announced they will be accepting applications based on academic transcripts in 2025.

Many universities will continue to use high school transcripts as the admission method for the 2025 admissions season.

No. School Admission Requirements 1 Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade 5th grade score of three subjects in the chosen subject combination (excluding the second semester of 12th grade). 2 Ho Chi Minh City University of Law 3rd grade score of three subjects in the chosen subject combination combined with an international certificate (applicable to students from international high schools), admission based on academic transcript scores for students from high schools on the priority list. 3 Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology 12th grade score of three subjects in the chosen subject combination 4 Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education 3rd grade score of three subjects in the chosen subject combination 5 Nha Trang University 3rd grade score of certain subjects in the chosen subject combination combined with aptitude test scores 6 Ton Duc Thang University 3rd grade score of the chosen subject combination 7 Van Lang University High school transcript score (details not yet published) 8 University of Finance - Marketing High school transcript score based on the chosen subject combination; or a GPA of excellent for all three years of high school. 9. Forestry University. High school transcript score (details not yet published). 10. Gia Dinh University. Based on the draft regulations, the school will use the results of the semesters in grades 11 and 12. 11. Van Hien University. High school transcript score (details not yet published). 12. Hoa Sen University. Grade for the whole year of grade 12 and the second semester of grade 11 (of three subjects in the combination or the average score of all subjects); high school transcript score for all three years. 13. High school transcript score for three subjects in the combination; combined with the 3-year score and aptitude test score. 15. Saigon International University. Grade 12 transcript score. 16. Admission is based on the average score of 3 subjects in 12th grade plus priority points.

Hanoi University of Industry: High school GPA of three subjects in a combined subject group, international certificates, student excellence awards, Hanoi National University's aptitude test score, or Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking skills assessment test. 19. Hanoi University of Law: High school GPA of three subjects in a combined subject group. 20. Hanoi University of Civil Engineering: High school GPA of three subjects in a combined subject group (applicable to both candidates graduating from high school in 2025 and those who graduated before 2025). 21. Vietnam Academy of Agriculture : Grade 12 GPA of three subjects in a combined subject group; combined with grade 12 transcript and international certificates. 22. University of Commerce: High school transcript score for candidates from specialized/national key schools; Combining academic transcripts with international certificates. 23 Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 High school transcript scores (details not yet published) 24 Dai Nam University Grade 11 and first semester grade 12 transcript scores, or grade 12 transcript scores of three subjects according to the combination 25 University of Transport

The three subjects in the chosen combination are based on the three years of high school (within the combinations, the Math score is multiplied by 2 for admission consideration). Furthermore, the average score for each subject (considered for each academic year) must not be below 5.5 points.

Foreign Trade University: High school GPA (3 years) combined with English certificate requirements and graduation exam scores (applicable to candidates participating in national excellent student competitions, national science and technology competitions; achieving third prize or higher in city-level excellent student competitions, and students from specialized schools). 27.
