Ky Anh rice has been granted trademark protection.

(Baohatinh.vn) - Trademark protection affirms the origin, quality, and brand value of rice products bearing the name Ky Anh - Ha Tinh.

The Intellectual Property Office ( Ministry of Science and Technology ) has just issued decisions granting trademark registration certificates for two products: “Ky Anh – Ha Tinh Rice” and “Ky Anh – Ha Tinh Premium Quality Rice”. The trademarks are owned by the Department of Science and Technology of Ha Tinh province.

These trademarks have been granted certificates by the Intellectual Property Office.

According to the decisions, trademarks are protected for the following group of goods and services: rice products and rice trading activities; the protection period extends until June 30, 2035.

Specifically, the certification mark "Ky Anh - Ha Tinh Rice" features the colors green, brown, orange, and white; it is protected as a whole, not individually for each component.

The certification mark “Kỳ Anh – Hà Tĩnh Premium Quality Rice” features the colors moss green, orange, yellow, and white; it is protected as a whole, not individually for each component.

This is the result of the process of building and perfecting the certification mark dossier for rice products in the Ky Anh region, linked to criteria of origin, quality, and a geographical map of the production area.

According to trademark registration documents, Ky Anh rice is identified as a certification mark for rice products from the production area of ​​the former Ky Anh district and Ky Anh town (now the wards of Song Tri, Hoanh Son, Vung Ang, Hai Ninh and the communes of Ky Anh, Ky Xuan, Ky Hoa, Ky Khang, Ky Van, Ky Lac, Ky Thuong).

The Department of Science and Technology of Ha Tinh Province is the owner and manager of the certification mark. According to the Intellectual Property Law, organizations and individuals producing and trading rice in the designated area who wish to use the mark must register, comply with the management regulations, and meet the criteria regarding product origin and quality.

Obtaining trademark registration contributes to affirming the value, origin, and reputation of Ky Anh rice products in the market; at the same time, it creates a legal basis for managing, exploiting, and developing the brand associated with local agricultural production in a sustainable manner, enhancing the value and competitiveness of the product.
