Rice prices rise, paddy prices remain stable.

Specifically, regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current prices are as follows: OM 5451 rice (fresh) ranges from 5,800 to 6,000 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) ranges from 6,500 to 6,600 VND/kg; OM 18 rice (fresh) ranges from 6,500 to 6,600 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) ranges from 5,200 to 5,400 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) ranges from 5,500 to 5,600 VND/kg; and Nang Hoa 9 rice ranges from 6,300 to 6,500 VND/kg.

Observations in many localities today show that supply is limited, but buying and selling transactions are fairly active. In Long An, new transactions are steady, and rice prices remain stable. In Dong Thap , farmers are offering slightly higher prices for fragrant rice, and rice transactions are steady with stable prices.

In An Giang, rice trading is steady, rice prices are relatively stable, and traders are showing considerable interest in buying. In Hau Giang, supply is limited, most rice has already been reserved, buying and selling transactions are steady, and rice prices remain stable. In Kien Giang, supply is gradually shrinking, prices of all types of rice are stable, and transactions are steady.

Regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the price of raw OM 380 rice has increased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating between 7,700 and 7,900 VND/kg; raw 5451 rice has increased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating between 8,550 and 8,750 VND/kg; raw IR 504 rice is fluctuating between 8,100 and 8,200 VND/kg; finished OM 380 rice is fluctuating between 8,800 and 9,000 VND/kg; and finished IR 504 rice is fluctuating between 9,500 and 9,700 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, prices fluctuate between 6,700 and 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice ranges from 7,100 to 7,300 VND/kg; grade 2 broken rice has increased by 100 VND/kg, ranging from 6,700 to 6,900 VND/kg; and the price of bran ranges from 9,000 to 10,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Reports from various localities today indicate a fairly good supply of rice, with relatively stable prices for all types. In An Giang, the supply is good, transactions are smooth, and prices remain relatively stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the supply is good, with most large warehouses buying in bulk but prioritizing high-quality rice, with prices varying depending on quality. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the supply is good, with warehouses buying in bulk, and some warehouses offering slightly higher prices for fragrant rice and other high-quality rice varieties.

In Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap province), the supply of fragrant rice to the docks is consistent, and the warehouses are buying it steadily, with stable prices for all types of rice. In An Cu (Cai Be district, Tien Giang province), the supply is intermittent, prices are stable, and trading is slow.

At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price at 28,000 VND/kg; regular rice fluctuates between 15,000 and 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant Thai rice fluctuates between 20,000 and 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice is 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates between 18,000 and 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at 22,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is 21,000 VND/kg; common white rice is at 17,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice fluctuates around 18,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice is 21,000 VND/kg; and Japanese rice is 22,000 VND/kg.

On the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged today compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price for 5% broken rice is $394/ton; 25% broken rice is $368/ton; and 100% broken rice is $313/ton.
