According to the Vietnam Commodity Exchange (MXV), silver is becoming one of the most attractive investment prospects among precious metals in 2025.
Many experts predict that the price of silver could return to its historical peak of $40 per ounce in the near future. Factors such as escalating trade wars, declining global supply, and strong demand have created a new wave of investment in silver.
Notably, the demand for silver comes not only from the jewelry sector but also from key industries such as solar panel manufacturing, electric vehicles, electronics, and energy infrastructure. As the best conductor of electricity and heat, silver is increasingly becoming an indispensable material in renewable energy solutions and the global green transition.
Meanwhile, the supply of silver is shrinking significantly. Many mines have been operating at reduced capacity due to rising costs and dwindling reserves. The fact that supply has not met demand for four consecutive years has contributed to the rise in silver prices and opened up a long-term bull market.
Beyond its role as an industrial raw material, silver is also sought after by investors as a safe haven for finance, especially during periods of economic instability and high inflation. When the US dollar fluctuates and the stock market is volatile, large sums of money tend to shift to safe-haven assets like gold and silver.
Combining factors ranging from strong demand and limited supply to its increasingly important role in the green economy, silver prices are expected to continue their upward trend in the near future.
Investors are starting to show renewed interest in silver, viewing it as a strategic choice in safe-haven asset classes for 2025.
