Today's coffee prices on the world market, November 30, 2024, at 4:30 AM, were updated on the Vietnam Commodity Exchange (MXV) (world coffee prices are continuously updated by MXV, matching those of exchanges worldwide; it is the only channel in Vietnam that continuously updates prices linked to exchanges around the world). The online coffee prices for the three main futures exchanges, ICE Futures Europe, ICE Futures US, and B3 Brazil, are continuously updated by Y5Cafe throughout the trading hours of the exchanges, as follows:

At the close of trading, Robusta coffee prices on the London exchange at 4:30 AM on November 30, 2024, reversed course and fell across all contract periods compared to the previous trading session, with sharp declines of 142-156 USD/ton, fluctuating between 5228-5409 USD/ton. Specifically, the January 2025 contract was 5,409 USD/ton (down 156 USD/ton); the March 2025 contract was 5,377 USD/ton (down 151 USD/ton); the May 2025 contract was 5,310 USD/ton (down 144 USD/ton); and the July 2025 contract was 5,228 USD/ton (down 142 USD/ton).

Similarly, the price of Arabica coffee on the New York exchange on November 30, 2024, also decreased, ending the previous trading session with a drop of 4.40-5 cents/lb. Specifically, the March 2025 delivery contract was 318.05 cents/lb (down 5 cents/lb); the May 2025 delivery contract was 315.50 cents/lb (down 5.20 cents/lb); the July 2025 delivery contract was 310.85 cents/lb (down 4.85 cents/lb); and the September 2025 delivery contract was 305.80 cents/lb (down 4.40 cents/lb).

At the close of trading on the morning of November 30, 2024, Brazilian Arabica coffee prices showed mixed increases and decreases across delivery periods, fluctuating between US$386.85 and US$389.05 per ton. Specifically, the December 2024 delivery contract was US$389.05 per ton (down US$14.85 per ton); the March 2025 contract was US$393.70 per ton (up US$1.20 per ton); the May 2025 contract was US$393.15 per ton (down US$6.90 per ton); and the July 2025 contract was US$386.85 per ton (down US$6.40 per ton).

According to forecasts, world coffee prices will continue to fall on all exchanges tomorrow, December 1st, 2024. Experts believe the reason is a market reversal due to the weakening Brazilian Real, which has fallen to a record low against the US dollar. The weaker Real has encouraged Brazilian coffee producers to increase exports, leading to a sell-off of coffee futures contracts.

The 2024-2025 coffee crop year, in which approximately 85% is robusta coffee and the remainder is arabica coffee, is conservatively projected to average 10 million bags.

Certified washed arabica coffee stocks on the New York Stock Exchange continued to rise to their highest level since June 2022, reaching 903,548 bags as of November 28. This marks a 207.8% increase (610,002 bags) compared to the 293,546 bags recorded during the same period last year.

Domestic coffee prices, updated at 4:30 AM on November 30, 2024, are as follows: Domestic coffee prices continue to rise sharply, increasing by more than 3000 VND/kg. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 131,200 VND/kg.

Specifically, the purchase price of coffee in Gia Lai province was 131,000 VND/kg (an increase of 3,100 VND/kg compared to the previous trading session); meanwhile, in Dak Nong province, coffee was also purchased at the highest price of 131,500 VND/kg (an increase of 3,300 VND/kg).

In Lam Dong province, in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha, the price of bulk green coffee beans (green coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) is 130,700 VND/kg.

Today's coffee prices (November 20th) in Dak Lak province are as follows: in Cu M'gar district, coffee is being purchased at 131,000 VND/kg, while in Ea H'leo district and Buon Ho town, it is being purchased at 129,900 VND/kg.

According to forecasts, domestic coffee prices on December 1, 2024, will reverse course and fall after several consecutive days of increases, with a predicted decrease of 900 to 1000 VND/kg.

While last year's coffee prices were clearly driven by Robusta as producing countries suffered crop failures due to drought and El Niño-related weather events, this year, at the start of Vietnam's harvest season, we can see Arabica coffee taking the lead, reaching its highest level in 47 years.

The problem is still attributed to unfavorable weather in Brazil and Vietnam, the world's two largest coffee-producing countries, the consequences of which are now beginning to be seen, threatening global coffee production. According to Sucden Financial, the price increase has also prompted some Brazilian coffee exporters to lift their hedging orders and buy futures contracts to cover short positions, further driving up coffee prices.
