Throughout his life, Mr. Hoang earned his living through farming, cultivating forests, pepper, and dragon fruit, and raising fish, poultry, and livestock. In front of his house, he grows all kinds of flowers and ornamental plants, including 300 apricot trees that are 5 to 10 years old, as a way of "supporting his old age." Each year, from selling flowers, fruits, chickens, ducks, and fish, he earns about 100 million VND; and for many years, he has been awarded the title of Excellent Farmer in Production and Business at various levels. Not only does he provide for his family, but he also helps poor households and elderly people in the village with seeds and capital without charging interest. It is worth remembering that in 2003 and 2006, his family donated 1,000 square meters of land to expand the road, contributing to the construction of new rural areas without demanding any support or compensation. His actions have set a shining example for the villagers to follow.
Besides farming, he was also a lover of poetry, using the pen name Phuoc Dong. He founded Thi Huong Lau, where he and his friends wrote and recited poetry together and showcased products from their gardens. His poetry collection "Huong Que" (Homeland Fragrance), published in 1996, contained over 50 poems, a testament to his love for his homeland. Recently, he released another collection, "Huong Giang" (Fragrance River), with 100 poems about Hue . He was a member of many poetry clubs and folk literature associations. For him, writing poetry was a part of life, encouraging people, especially the elderly and villagers, to love life more and feel more connected to their homeland.

As the direct descendant of the Tran Dinh clan, Mr. Hoang is the 18th-generation descendant of the ancestor Tran Quoc Tan, the founder of Yen Ne village. He currently possesses 14 royal decrees from the Nguyen Dynasty, along with more than 17 valuable ancient books. He is also the person who records and preserves the history, festivals, and culture of the village, passing them on to future generations. Every year, on the 20th day of the 3rd lunar month, the villagers gather at the Tran Dinh clan's ancestral temple, which he oversees, to hold a procession carrying the "Royal Decrees and Honors" to Phuoc Thuan communal house for worship.
One of his most cherished projects was the preservation and restoration of the Thai Giam Temple, a place dedicated to virtuous individuals who had contributed to the nation and its people. Thanks to his efforts, the Thai Giam Temple was renovated and became a place for organizing educational activities and rewarding outstanding students in the village. He went from house to house to encourage elderly people to donate books and school supplies to underprivileged students, encouraging them to continue their education.
In particular, in 2014, she successfully organized the first and only "Filial Children, Daughters-in-law, and Sons-in-law" Club in Hoa Vang district. This club not only provides mutual support during difficult times but also serves as a spiritual anchor for each family, contributing to building a happy and prosperous life. The club has become a model of unity and love in the community, holding monthly meetings for members to share and exchange experiences.
As a leader, she has always been a shining example in mobilizing people to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations, while actively participating in movements to donate land for road construction and build new rural areas. She also established the Education Promotion Association and built the village's Elderly Library, where nearly 1,000 books and newspapers are stored to serve the elderly.
Mr. Le Duc Nghiem, Chairman of the Elderly Association of Hoa Nhon commune, said that over the past nearly 20 years, Mr. Tran Phuoc Hoang and the village's Elderly Association have received many Certificates of Merit and Commendations from various levels and sectors. In 2019, when the two villages of Phuoc Thuan and Phuoc Hau merged into Phuoc Thuan Phuoc Hau village, he was again trusted and elected as the Head of the Elderly Association of the new village. Although the work became heavier, he still excellently completed his duties, especially in mobilizing the Association's funds and meeting other important criteria, thus always being loved and respected by the people. He is a shining example of enthusiasm and tireless dedication to the community, a model "village elder," wise and leaving a deep impression on the people and elderly here.
