In the center of Gia Phu commune, along both sides of the main road, there are many bustling businesses and services. Commercial activities are diverse, ranging from food and beverage services, transportation, agricultural product purchasing and processing, machinery repair, to the sale of consumer goods, clothing, and construction materials. Ms. Ninh Thi Tam Binh, Chairwoman of the Gia Phu Commune People's Committee, said: Currently, Gia Phu commune has 20 enterprises and cooperatives, and more than 2,000 business households. The commune has promoted trade, encouraged enterprises, cooperatives, and production facilities to participate in trade fairs and promote characteristic products such as black garlic, oranges, tangerines, dried garlic, black garlic vermicelli, crispy rice, honey, dried fish, dried bananas, sausages, and vegetables... Attention is also being paid to reforming administrative procedures, creating favorable conditions for economic entities to participate in investment, production, and business; and disseminating information to businesses and service establishments about regulations in production and business. Strengthen coordination with relevant authorities to inspect and manage the market, stabilize prices, and check food safety and hygiene quality...

Since the beginning of the year, the commune has connected with businesses and cooperatives, innovated business methods, and promoted local specialty products through livestreaming on social media platforms. It has organized 20 booths to showcase the commune's products at major commune events and job fairs; and worked with Jeong Ga Chan Agricultural Products Import-Export and Processing Company to establish a distribution link for local chili products.

At Tay Bac Eco Cooperative in Gia Phu commune, over the years, they have successfully implemented production processes, focusing on local specialty products, adhering to strict quality standards, aiming for export and ensuring health safety, such as Muong Tac herbal wine, black garlic, and dried products. Currently, the cooperative's herbal wine and black garlic products have been recognized as 3-star OCOP products. Innovating product distribution methods, the cooperative has increased livestreaming promotions on Facebook, TikTok, Zalo, and Facebook, gaining more awareness, orders, and higher revenue.

Ms. Lai Thanh Phuong, Director of Tay Bac Eco Cooperative in Gia Phu commune, shared: "In 2025, the cooperative will produce 1,500 liters of herbal rice wine; 250 kg of black garlic; over 2 tons of dried single-clove garlic; and 500 kg of black garlic vermicelli, mainly sold in Son La, Hanoi, Phu Tho, etc. Revenue will exceed 700 million VND. Currently, the cooperative is linking with households inside and outside the commune, expanding the garlic growing area to 50 hectares to serve processing and continuing to learn how to create better videos and photos of products, so that agricultural products are known to more people and sales increase."

Tourists buy local agricultural products at the "Historical Relic Site of the Resistance War against the French in the Bản Nhọt Forest" - the temple dedicated to General Võ Nguyên Giáp.

Since 2005, the family of Mr. Nguyen Trong Quang, from Tan Ba ​​village, has been running a grocery business serving the local community. Mr. Quang said: "During the end of the year, customer demand increases, and my family has planned our inventory in advance, so there is no shortage of goods and no price increases during this time. Our family's average revenue is over 100 million VND per year; we contribute 10 million VND to the state budget annually."

The promotion of service business development in Gia Phu commune has contributed to the shift in the local economic structure, reducing the poverty rate in the entire commune to 9.3% by 2025. The commune continues to encourage and create the best conditions for households to expand their businesses, meeting consumer needs and serving production; contributing to improving the living standards of the people and the socio-economic development of the locality.
