In the final trading session of the week, world gold prices rose by nearly $30/ounce, reaching $3,085.7/ounce, the highest level in history, as investors increased their gold purchases due to concerns about potential risks from global trade tensions.
In the domestic market, businesses listed SJC gold bars at 98.4 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 100.7 million VND/ounce (selling price), an increase of 200,000 VND/ounce (buying price) and 500,000 VND/ounce (selling price) compared to the end of the previous day.

For gold rings, Saigon Gold, Silver and Gemstone Company Limited listed the price at 98.2 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 100.4 million VND/ounce (selling price), higher than the end of the previous day by 100,000 VND/ounce (buying price) and 300,000 VND/ounce (selling price).
Bao Tin Minh Chau Co., Ltd. increased the price to 98.9 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 100.9 million VND/ounce (selling price).
Thus, the price of SJC gold bars has re-established the record high of 100.7 million VND/ounce recorded on March 28th, and gold rings have re-established the record high of 100.9 million VND/ounce recorded on March 20th.
Looking back at domestic gold prices, on Monday, March 24th, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 700,000 VND/ounce (buying price) and 200,000 VND/ounce (selling price), reaching 95.1 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 97.6 million VND/ounce (selling price).
The following day, the price of gold initially fell by 200,000 VND/ounce but then rose again, reaching 800,000 VND/ounce higher (buying price) and 300,000 VND/ounce higher (selling price) than the end of the previous day, reaching 95.9 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 97.9 million VND/ounce (selling price).
By March 26th, rising global gold prices caused domestic gold prices to increase further by 800,000 VND/ounce (buying price) and 500,000 VND/ounce (selling price), reaching 96.7 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 98.4 million VND/ounce (selling price).
The upward trend in gold prices continued, reaching 97.4 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 98.9 million VND/ounce (selling price) on March 27th, an increase of 700,000 VND/ounce (buying price) and 500,000 VND/ounce (selling price).
Notably, the following day, gold prices surged by 800,000 VND (buying price) and 1.3 million VND/ounce (selling price), reaching 98.2 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 100.2 million VND/ounce (selling price), at one point during the trading session re-establishing a record high of 100.7 million VND/ounce.
The price of gold rings is also trending upwards. Last weekend, the price of gold rings was 94.3-95.8 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 97-98.5 million VND/ounce (selling price), while today it is 98.2-98.9 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 100.4-100.9 million VND/ounce (selling price).
With these developments, the price of SJC gold bars has increased by 3.3 million VND/ounce; the price of gold rings has risen by 2.3-3.4 million VND/ounce compared to the end of last week.
