HI GIO Cloud is the first internationally standardized cloud computing infrastructure platform service for the Vietnamese market, launched in 2017, developed by two major technology corporations:FPT Telecom and Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ - Japan). HI GIO S3 Storage - unlimited cloud storage service for businesses

FPT and IIJ are constantly striving to provide the best services to their corporate clients. In September 2024, the two companies launched the HI GIO S3 Storage unlimited storage solution. This solution is technologically optimized to effectively meet the increasingly diverse needs of businesses in the current digital transformation process.

According to the announcement, this is a comprehensive storage solution built on the Object Storage platform, with flexible connectivity via the S3 protocol. This protocol meets security standards with fast data access, cost optimization, and high availability across multiple environments. This solution is suitable for: Data Lake, Cloud-native Application Data, Data Archiving, Backup and Recovery.

Mr. Kenichiro Okizaki, CTO of IIJ Global Solutions Vietnam, stated that the S3 Storage service is developed according to Japanese quality standards, aiming to provide flexibility, security, and reliability in enterprise data storage.

"This solution is also designed to help businesses comply with legal regulations such as Decree 53 on data localization in Vietnam, ensuring a safe and transparent business environment," the IIJJ leader affirmed.

HI GIO S3 Storage service ensures fast and high-speed transfer of large data volumes, reaching speeds of up to 100 MB/s. The service is even more optimized when used with FPT Telecom's network – a provider with the most stable and fastest domestic transmission bandwidth. With the S3 protocol, the service can be flexibly integrated into customers' backup systems, allowing easy access and retrieval of data from anywhere with an internet connection.

FPT also confidently commits to safety and security because the data on HI GIO S3 Storage servers is located in FPT's internationally certified data centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi , built on Multi-node Cluster and HA technology. In addition, the data center protects data using Object Lock, Versioning, TLS/SSL data transmission encryption, and SSE data encryption.

According to FPT and IIJ, the service helps optimize operating and system investment costs by 30-50% compared to other providers. The provider commits to 24/7 support, all year round, with a team of leading telecommunications experts, both domestic and international. Currently, the company can provide consulting services in Vietnamese, English, and Japanese.

Microsoft 365 Backup Solution (HI GIO M365 BaaS)

A week after introducing HI GIO S3 Storage, FPT and IIJ announced another backup-as-a-service solution for Microsoft 365 (HI GIO M365 BaaS) using Veeam technology, adding it to their cloud product portfolio.

Veeam's solution leverages backup, recovery, and data management technologies to protect Microsoft 365 data, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams. With this service, business data is always protected, accessible, and recoverable in the event of a disaster.

Kenichiro Okizaki, CTO of IIJ Global Solutions Vietnam, stated that MSP partners are increasingly interested in backing up Microsoft 365 data from their customers. This new solution not only protects customer data from internal and external threats but also contributes to increased profitability.

HI GIO M365 BaaS leverages the power of Veeam to ensure backup and protection capabilities across Microsoft 365 platforms against data loss risks. In the event of a failure, users can choose how and where data can be quickly restored.

The service also offers flexible retention options. Veeam's encrypted storage in FPT's internationally certified data centers allows users to choose a 12-month or unlimited retention period. The service empowers users to restore the latest backup through an intuitive web portal.
