SCIC registered to transfer more than 370 million FPT Telecom shares to the Ministry of Public Security

(NLDO)- This is considered the final procedure in the process of the Ministry of Public Security receiving the right to represent the State capital ownership at FPT Telecom.

According to information from the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) has just registered to transfer all of nearly 370.7 million FOX shares ofFPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FPT Telecom), equivalent to 50.17% of capital at FPT Telecom.

The transaction is expected to be carried out outside the system from October 31 to November 28, with the purpose of transferring the right to represent the State capital ownership at FPT Telecom from SCIC to the Ministry of Public Security , according to the transfer minutes signed on July 16, 2025.

This is considered the final procedure in the process of the Ministry of Public Security receiving the right to represent the State capital ownership at FPT Telecom.

Previously, speaking at the handover ceremony on July 16, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, General Director of SCIC, emphasized the important significance of transferring the right to represent the ownership of state capital at FPT Telecom from SCIC to the Ministry of Public Security.

He affirmed that this is a strategic policy to ensure data security and national digital sovereignty in the new era, and expressed his belief that the Ministry of Public Security will continue to promote its potential and create more favorable conditions for FPT Telecom to continue to grow, playing an important role in Project 06 on building a digital government, digital society and national data platforms.

After the transfer, all State capital at FPT Telecom will be managed by the Ministry of Public Security. The second largest shareholder is FPT Corporation (stock code: FPT), holding 45.66% of capital.

According to the latest financial report, in the third quarter of 2025, FPT Telecom recorded an 8.2% increase in revenue, reaching VND 4,930 billion and after-tax profit reaching nearly VND 905 billion, an increase of 26.2% over the same period last year.

Accumulated in the first 9 months of the year, net revenue reached 14,287 billion VND, up 11.6% and profit after tax reached 2,581 billion VND, up 21.5% over the same period.

According to FPT Telecom, the company increased transmission capacity, improved service quality, boosted sales, cut costs and optimized financial operations, helping to significantly improve business efficiency.

Notably, financial revenue in the first 9 months increased sharply by 26% over the same period, reaching VND596 billion, mainly from deposit interest (VND541 billion) and exchange rate difference profit.

At the end of the third quarter of 2025, FPT Telecom had more than VND 12,400 billion in bank deposits, an increase of more than VND 300 billion compared to the end of last year. Meanwhile, outstanding short- and long-term loans and financial leases reached nearly VND 7,800 billion, an increase of nearly VND 1,200 billion compared to the end of 2024.

In the first 9 months of 2025, SCIC received VND 1,235 billion in dividends from FPT Telecom, while FPT Corporation (the second largest shareholder, holding 45.66% of FPT Telecom's capital) earned VND 1,124 billion.
