SCIC registered to transfer more than 370 million FPT Telecom shares to the Ministry of Public Security

(NLDO)- This is considered the final procedure in the process of the Ministry of Public Security receiving the right to represent the State capital ownership at FPT Telecom.

According to information from the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the State Capital Investment and Business Corporation (SCIC) has registered to transfer its entire stake of nearly 370.7 million FOX shares inFPT Telecom Joint Stock Company, equivalent to 50.17% of the capital in FPT Telecom.

The transaction is expected to be conducted off-system from October 31st to November 28th, with the aim of transferring the right to represent the state's ownership stake in FPT Telecom from SCIC to the Ministry of Public Security , according to the transfer agreement signed on July 16th, 2025.

This is considered the final procedure in the process of the Ministry of Public Security taking over the representation of state capital ownership in FPT Telecom.

Earlier, speaking at the handover ceremony on July 16, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, General Director of SCIC, emphasized that the transfer of the right to represent the state's ownership stake in FPT Telecom from SCIC to the Ministry of Public Security is of great significance.

He affirmed that this is a strategic policy ensuring data security and national digital sovereignty security in the new era, and expressed confidence that the Ministry of Public Security will continue to leverage its potential and create even more favorable conditions for FPT Telecom to continue growing and playing an important role in Project 06 on building a digital government, digital society, and national data platforms.

Following the transfer, the entire state-owned stake in FPT Telecom will be managed by the Ministry of Public Security. The second largest shareholder is FPT Corporation (stock code: FPT), holding 45.66% of the capital.

According to the latest financial report, in the third quarter of 2025, FPT Telecom recorded an 8.2% increase in revenue, reaching VND 4,930 billion, and after-tax profit reached nearly VND 905 billion, a 26.2% increase compared to the same period last year.

For the first nine months of the year, net revenue reached VND 14,287 billion, an increase of 11.6%, and after-tax profit reached VND 2,581 billion, an increase of 21.5% compared to the same period last year.

According to FPT Telecom, the company has strengthened its transmission capacity, improved service quality, boosted sales, reduced costs, and optimized financial operations, resulting in a significant improvement in business performance.

Notably, financial revenue in the first nine months increased sharply by 26% compared to the same period last year, reaching VND 596 billion, mainly from interest on deposits (VND 541 billion) and exchange rate differences.

As of the end of Q3/2025, FPT Telecom had over VND 12,400 billion deposited in banks, an increase of over VND 300 billion compared to the end of last year. Meanwhile, short-term and long-term loans and financial leases reached nearly VND 7,800 billion, an increase of nearly VND 1,200 billion compared to the end of 2024.

In the first nine months of 2025, SCIC received VND 1,235 billion in dividends from FPT Telecom, while FPT Group (the second largest shareholder, holding 45.66% of FPT Telecom's capital) received VND 1,124 billion.
