'Quang Trung Campaign': Police forces determined to complete ahead of schedule.

(Chinhphu.vn) - Regarding the progress of the 'Quang Trung Campaign', reports from localities show that most have exceeded the deadline set by the Government, with some places even 20 days ahead of schedule. This is a very proud achievement, demonstrating the high sense of responsibility and determination of the People's Public Security force.

On the morning of December 13th, the Ministry of Public Security held an online conference with local police forces to assess the results of organizing and implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign" within the People's Police. The conference was connected online to the Information and Command Center of the police forces in provinces and cities. Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, chaired the conference.

According to Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, in implementing the directives of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Public Security regarding the remediation of the consequences of natural disasters, storms, and floods in the central provinces, with the focus on launching the "Quang Trung Campaign" to rapidly rebuild and repair houses for households whose homes were destroyed, swept away, or severely damaged by storms and floods, the Ministry of Public Security has issued a plan for the implementation of the Quang Trung Campaign throughout the People's Public Security Force (CAND), linked to the CAND's "Three Best" emulation movement: "Most disciplined, most loyal, and closest to the people".

To date, the police force in the central provinces is currently in charge of building 234 new houses (Ha Tinh (10), Hue (2), Da Nang (58), Gia Lai (106), Dak Lak (16), Khanh Hoa (23), Lam Dong (19).

At the conference, representatives from local police departments reported on the progress of house construction and repair for residents, as well as proposing recommendations during the implementation process.

Representatives from the Da Nang City Police Department stated that the city has 546 houses that require complete repair and reconstruction, of which the police force is directly responsible for repairing and rebuilding 271 houses (62 new houses and 213 repaired houses).

Accordingly, the Da Nang Police Department mobilized 250 officers and soldiers to participate in the campaign. As of December 12th, 206 out of 213 buildings had been repaired, and the repairs are expected to be completed by December 20th, earlier than the government's directive of December 31st.

For the newly constructed houses, the Da Nang Police will complete the first house by December 31, 2025. For the remaining houses, the force will strive to complete the Quang Trung campaign by January 10, 2026.

One of the units implementing the campaign at a very rapid pace is the Gia Lai Provincial Police. According to a representative of the Provincial Police, they mobilized 650 officers and soldiers to decisively and swiftly carry out tasks to support the construction of 103 houses. Currently, construction has begun on 78 out of 103 houses, of which 3 have been completed.

At the conference, representatives from the Lam Dong Provincial Police proposed that the riot police force of the Mobile Police Command increase support for the people in the area.

Regarding this proposal, Colonel Vu Cao Son, Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police Command (Ministry of Public Security), emphasized that the Ministry's mobile police force is always ready to provide support when localities need it.

"Not only in Lam Dong but also in other localities, we are always ready to provide support. We request that localities proactively communicate with us; if support is needed, we will base our assistance on the actual situation to help people stabilize their lives as soon as possible," Colonel Vu Cao Son affirmed.

Colonel Vu Cao Son added that, in recent times, following orders from the Ministry's leadership, the Mobile Police Command has mobilized 5,019 officers and soldiers to reinforce localities in participating in disaster prevention and control, rescue operations, and providing essential supplies to the people, contributing to reducing damage caused by natural disasters and helping people to stabilize their lives as soon as possible.

In implementing Plan 703 on the deployment of the Quang Trung Campaign, the Mobile Police Command immediately deployed forces, especially with units stationed in the area participating alongside local authorities; mobilized social resources; deployed 170 officers and soldiers to reinforce the three areas of Da Nang, Gia Lai, and Khanh Hoa; and is currently coordinating the construction and repair of 14 houses for the people.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen stated that currently, across the entire force, approximately 11,200 officers and soldiers in provinces from Ha Tinh to Lam Dong are diligently working on construction sites to clean up, reorganize, and especially build houses, repair schools, and construct hospitals for people in disaster-stricken areas.

"The Ministry's leadership acknowledges and commends the efforts of local police forces and the police of the Ministry's professional units, especially the Mobile Police Command, H03, V01, and media units inside and outside the People's Public Security Force... who have closely followed the journey on every road, for the happiness of the people and peace of life," Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen emphasized.

Regarding the topics discussed and reported at the Conference, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen affirmed that the implementation of the Quang Trung Campaign within the People's Public Security Force is currently facing no difficulties. The determination of local police forces is very high, their efforts are immense, their will is unwavering, and their spirit is unyielding. This is the most vivid manifestation of the People's Public Security Force leading the emulation movement of "Three Best: Most Disciplined, Most Loyal, and Closest to the People."

"We have all forces, from the professional units of the Ministry of Public Security to local authorities, standing side by side with the people to share the joys and sorrows, especially in reorganizing people's lives after the recent natural disasters and floods," according to the Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security.

During the meeting, the units agreed on several issues related to receiving and organizing the reconstruction of houses that had completely collapsed. Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen requested that the police units promptly finalize the documents and detailed data, and send them to the Ministry's Office to process the transfer of funds as per regulations.

Regarding the progress of implementation, reports from localities show that most have exceeded the deadlines set by the Government, with some places being as much as 20 days ahead. This is a very proud achievement, demonstrating the high sense of responsibility and determination of the People's Public Security Force; the successful completion of the Quang Trung Campaign depends directly on the efforts of units at the local levels.

Regarding the legal documents and records of the houses being built, the Standing Office of the Steering Committee of the Ministry requests that professional units and provincial police strictly adhere to regulations, ensuring full legal basis when handing over houses to the people; from ownership rights to land use rights, including cases of resettlement and relocation to new residences because the old location is no longer available or does not ensure safety.

Regarding ensuring living conditions and health for officers and soldiers at the front lines, the Ministry's leadership requested that provincial police direct local police medical forces to closely monitor and care for the health of officers and soldiers, absolutely preventing any errors in organizing work and duties; ensuring that the frontline forces are truly professional, absolutely safe, and closely linked to the task of maintaining security and order at the grassroots level.
