| Petrolimex Tuyen Quang Co., Ltd. strictly implements the quality control process for petroleum products before selling them to consumers. |
According to information from Petrolimex Tuyen Quang Co., Ltd., the quality control process for gasoline and diesel, including biofuel, is being strictly monitored at all stages from blending, storage, transportation to distribution to the market. The blending process for biofuels is carried out according to the prescribed ratios and has been tested and evaluated by relevant authorities to ensure full compliance with current Vietnamese technical standards and regulations. Before being sold, each batch must be sampled, stored, and quality checked.
Mr. Vu Trong Trung, Chairman of Petrolimex Tuyen Quang Co., Ltd., stated that the quality control of E10 gasoline in the province is strictly implemented according to the unified procedures of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group. He also added that quality control is not only applied when deploying E10 biofuel but has long been implemented for all petroleum products. This is a mandatory requirement under the law to ensure the quality of goods before they circulate on the market.
Observations at several long-standing motorcycle repair shops in Minh Xuan ward indicate that some cases of fuel system malfunctions have occurred recently. However, according to the mechanics, upon inspection, most of these vehicles had previously been submerged in water or had fuel tanks with significant sediment, leading to fuel line blockages and causing the vehicles to be difficult to start or operate erratically.

Repair shop owners argue that, in such isolated cases, it is difficult to definitively state that the cause stems from the use of E10 gasoline. Because if the fuel truly affected the engine or fuel system, this situation would occur on a large scale with a significant number of vehicles, instead of just in a few isolated cases as is currently the case.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade: Along with urging businesses to prepare the conditions for trading E10 gasoline, the department is also strengthening inspection and supervision of the implementation of the conversion roadmap at retail gasoline stations in the area. The inspection focuses on compliance with regulations regarding the origin and quality of fuel, storage conditions, and the infrastructure serving the bio-gasoline business.
At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also directed the Market Management Sub-department and coordinated with relevant units to strengthen inspections of gasoline and diesel business activities in the area, especially during the initial phase of E10 gasoline deployment, in order to promptly detect and handle violations related to quality and commercial fraud, and protect consumer rights.
