On January 16th, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training organized the program "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" for the Year of the Snake 2025.
This annual event aims to share, encourage, and provide timely support to teachers and students in difficult circumstances during Tet (Lunar New Year). It is also an opportunity for teachers and students who are wives and children of officers and soldiers serving in the islands to share with colleagues and friends the joy and pride of having husbands and fathers who are naval personnel.
Hanoi's education sector currently has 36 teachers who are wives and 126 students who are children of officers and soldiers serving in the islands. Of these, only one teacher has the complete joy of welcoming her husband home for Tet this year.

At the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program for the Year of the Snake 2025, Ms. Tran Hong Diep, a teacher at Mau Luong Secondary School (Ha Dong district), representing the teachers, was connected by phone with her husband, Tran Trung Kien, who is currently serving in the Coast Guard Region 4 ( Ca Mau province).
Bui Bao Ngoc, a student in class 7A2 at Son Loc Secondary School (Son Tay town), also had a surprising moment when the program connected her online with her mother, Dr. Nguyen Thi Chien (Military Hospital 105), who is currently on duty in South Sudan.
Through her sharing, Bui Bao Ngoc said that her family has four members. While her mother is away on duty, the three of them (father and two siblings) always try their best to complete all their tasks so that their mother can focus and finish her duties as soon as possible and return home. Bui Bao Ngoc is one of 126 students from Hanoi who are children of officers and soldiers serving in the islands.
Expressing her gratitude for the unexpected reunion with her daughter and teachers, Dr. Nguyen Thi Chien sincerely thanked the Hanoi Education Department, schools, and local authorities for their concern; she also expressed her reassurance and trust in the support from her family and her determination to overcome difficulties and successfully complete her assigned tasks.
This Lunar New Year, the Hanoi Education Department has directed all units within the sector to focus on caring for the lives of cadres, teachers, and staff in difficult circumstances, as well as teachers under preferential policies; and to provide Tet bonuses to employees according to regulations.

Across the entire sector, more than 1,900 officials, teachers, staff, and students received support during Tet (Lunar New Year) with a total budget of nearly 1.3 billion VND.
With the motto "Leaving no one behind," the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Tran The Cuong, affirmed that the Hanoi education sector will continue to stand alongside and share the difficulties with teachers and students.
In the coming period, to ensure that the care for the lives of cadres, teachers, and staff throughout the education sector is more timely, effective, and practical, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requests the Sectoral Trade Union to coordinate in providing practical care for workers, focusing on improving their cultural and spiritual lives; and concentrating on effectively fulfilling its function of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers. In addition, the Sectoral Trade Union should continue to proactively participate in building and monitoring the implementation of collective labor agreements and signing contracts in accordance with regulations, especially in non-public institutions.
