Teachers and students in the capital enjoy a 'Happy Tet'

On January 16, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" spring At Ty 2025.

The annual event aims to share, encourage and provide timely support to teachers and students in difficult circumstances during Tet. This is also an opportunity for teachers and students who are wives and children of officers and soldiers on duty at sea and islands to share with colleagues and friends the joy and pride of having a husband or father who is a marine soldier.

The Hanoi Education Department currently has 36 teachers who are wives and 126 students who are children of officers and soldiers on duty in the sea and islands. Of these, only one teacher has the joy of welcoming her husband home for Tet.

At the program "Happy Tet - Spring of gratitude to the Party" in the spring of At Ty 2025, the teacher representative, Ms. Tran Hong Diep, a teacher at Mau Luong Secondary School (Ha Dong district), was connected by phone with her husband, Tran Trung Kien, who is on duty at Coast Guard Region 4 ( Ca Mau province).

Bui Bao Ngoc, a 7A2 student at Son Loc Secondary School (Son Tay town), also had a surprising moment when the program connected her online with her mother, Dr. Nguyen Thi Chien (105 Military Hospital), who is currently on duty in South Sudan.

Through sharing, Bui Bao Ngoc said that her family has 4 members. During the time her mother is on duty far away, the three of them always try to complete all tasks well so that her mother can feel secure, focus and complete her tasks soon to return home. Bui Bao Ngoc is one of 126 students in Hanoi who are children of officers and soldiers on duty in the sea and islands.

Expressing her emotion at the unexpected meeting with her daughter and teachers, Dr. Nguyen Thi Chien sincerely thanked the Hanoi Education Department, schools and localities for their attention; at the same time, expressed her peace of mind and trust in the home front, and her determination to overcome difficulties to excellently complete the assigned tasks.

On the occasion of Lunar New Year this year, the Hanoi Education Department directed units in the whole sector to focus on taking care of the lives of cadres, teachers, and employees in difficult circumstances, teachers with preferential policies; and give Tet bonuses to workers according to regulations.

The whole industry has more than 1,900 cadres, teachers, employees and students receiving support during Tet with a total budget of nearly 1.3 billion VND.

With the motto "No one is left behind", Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong affirmed that the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will continue to accompany and share difficulties with teachers and students.

In the coming time, in order to take care of the lives of cadres, teachers and employees of the whole industry in a more timely, effective and practical way, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requests the Industry Trade Union to coordinate in taking practical care of the lives of workers, focusing on improving their cultural and spiritual life; focusing on performing well the function of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers. In addition, the Industry Trade Union needs to continue to proactively participate in building and supervising the implementation of collective labor agreements and signing contracts in accordance with regulations, especially in non-public units.
