Báo Đắk LắkBáo Đắk Lắk19/11/2025

Director of the Department of Education and Training, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Xuan

Following the merger of Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces, the province now has 1,379 educational institutions, with 38,441 administrators and teachers, covering preschool, primary, secondary, and vocational education levels. In addition, the province has 7 universities, 11 colleges, 3 vocational schools, and 10 vocational training centers, including 9 private institutions. Adhering to the theme of the 2025-2026 academic year, "Discipline - Creativity - Breakthrough - Development," the education sector is focusing on developing the teaching staff and administrators; improving the quality of education at all levels…

♦In the current context, how has the education sector reformed itself to meet the fundamental and comprehensive requirements of education and training, Madam?

- Following the directives of the Ministry of Education and Training on the emulation movement "Innovation and Creativity in Management, Teaching, and Learning," the Dak Lak Education sector has implemented it synchronously across 100% of educational institutions. The movement has become a driving force helping management staff and teachers to continuously innovate methods and improve the quality of student care and education.

Units linked the emulation movement with the key tasks of the school year, focusing on learner-centered teaching methods, enhancing experiential activities, life skills education, and organizing STEAM activities suitable for each region. Many exemplary models were effectively implemented and replicated, such as "Building a green, clean, beautiful, and safe educational environment," "Strengthening Vietnamese language skills for ethnic minority children," "Applying information technology in organizing educational activities," and "Education linked to local cultural identity"...

Educational management, record keeping, dissemination, and quality assessment are all being digitized. Schools are innovating lesson plans, applying teaching methods that develop students' qualities and competencies; proactively applying technology, building electronic learning materials, assessment software, and beginning to apply artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching.

♦How is the education sector moving towards smart, inclusive, and sustainable education?

- For the 2025-2026 academic year, the Education Department of Dak Lak province has identified this as a key year for digital transformation and improving data management capacity. The department will continue to concretize the Party and State's policy on streamlining the organizational structure, decentralizing power, and delegating education management according to a two-tiered government model.

Simultaneously, the province is accelerating the planning of the school network, strengthening infrastructure, and investing in equipment to meet the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program. The development of the teaching staff and management personnel continues to be emphasized, ensuring sufficient teachers for specialized subjects and addressing localized shortages and surpluses. Administrative reform and the application of information technology in management and teaching are being promoted.

The sector also focuses on improving the overall quality of education, developing specialized education, ethnic education, and inclusive education for students with disabilities; continuing to promote the movements "Good Teaching - Good Learning," "Innovation and Creativity in Teaching and Learning" associated with "Building Green, Clean, Beautiful, and Safe Schools." In addition, the education sector has set forth many tasks and solutions to implement Resolution 71 of the Politburo

An interactive lesson between teacher and students at Duy Tan High School (Binh Kien Ward).

♦In the current educational context, how is the role of teachers perceived, and what professional and ethical standards do they need to meet, Madam?

- This year, for the first time, the teaching profession has been legalized by the Law on Teachers, marking an important step in affirming the position and protecting the rights of the teaching staff. From the nation's tradition of "respecting teachers and valuing education," these values have now been concretized by legal regulations, creating a solid foundation for the teaching profession to be respected and developed to its full potential.

In the context of educational reform, teachers not only impart knowledge but also play a crucial role in shaping students' character and inspiring them. Therefore, every teacher needs to continuously cultivate their ethics, enhance their professional competence, foster a spirit of learning, and cultivate creativity. They must be shining examples of integrity, fairness in teaching, responsibility in their work, and a deep love for their students. With the fine traditions of the profession and the efforts of each teacher, I believe that today's teaching staff will successfully fulfill their responsibilities, contributing to building a humane, modern, and high-quality education system.

♦On the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2025), would you like to share your thoughts with the staff, teachers, and those working in the education sector?

- On the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, I express my deepest gratitude to all teachers and those who are silently dedicating themselves to the education sector. I would like to extend my best wishes for health, joy, and happiness to everyone, and hope that each teacher will always maintain their passion for teaching, with a heart full of enthusiasm, to continue guiding, inspiring, and training generations of outstanding students.

Thank you, ma'am!
