In the first nine months of 2025, the Provincial Employment Service Center received 23,237 applications for unemployment benefits, including 13,839 applications from people in other localities. The Center processed decisions granting monthly unemployment benefits to 22,320 people; decisions revoking unemployment benefit entitlements for 246 people. The average unemployment benefit was 3.8 million VND per month. The Center provided job counseling and placement services to 107,714 people and issued 610 decisions supporting vocational training for workers receiving unemployment benefits.

According to Nguyen Phi Hung, Director of the Provincial Employment Service Center, the center pays special attention to job counseling, placement, and vocational skills training for workers. They regularly contact and advise workers, students, and graduates via hotline to create a timely labor supply for companies affiliated with the center, both within and outside the province, especially in the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone and companies that send workers abroad under contract. The center coordinates with the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special economic zones to develop plans for organizing job counseling and placement events, and counseling centers for workers seeking employment.

In October 2025, the employment counseling center provided counseling to 2,496 workers, referred 1,456 to jobs, and 230 workers found employment. Emphasis was placed on counseling workers for overseas employment under contract. The center actively guided workers in orientation education , exit procedures, and loan applications, resulting in 10 workers successfully departing for employment in South Korea and Japan.

The Provincial Employment Service Center collects and stores recruitment information from 205 businesses; stores information on nearly 6,648 individuals; regularly monitors labor market information and updates it on the center's electronic portals. The center updates and guides businesses in posting job openings for Vietnamese workers in positions intended for foreign workers on the center's website. As a result, 27 businesses posted job openings for 27 positions, with a total of 27 vacancies.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung, the center continues to receive and process unemployment insurance applications promptly in accordance with the law; it is also stepping up its efforts to provide counseling, job placement, and vocational training for workers receiving unemployment benefits, especially counseling for those going to work abroad on fixed-term contracts in countries like Japan, Taiwan (China), and South Korea.

The center's representative offices are actively reviewing and compiling lists of working-age individuals receiving unemployment benefits who are seeking employment, in order to provide advice and supply them to businesses in need of hiring. Simultaneously, they continue to contact businesses to understand their employment needs; and assist and guide workers in applying for loans and non-refundable financial assistance.

In the coming period, the center will continue to collaborate with vocational training institutions to open vocational training classes for workers receiving unemployment benefits right at the center. At the same time, it will intensify propaganda and raise awareness among workers that unemployment benefits are only temporary while they search for work. Workers should proactively participate in vocational training courses to improve their skills, helping them find new jobs and have a stable life.
